Take Seattle/San Francisco GAME TOTAL UNDER FOR THE 1ST HALF as my 5-Unit NFL Play for Monday night. This pick falls into one of my top NFL systems and I expect a much lower game here than many people anticipate. Seattle will have to step up defensively coming into this game and I expect them to do that just that. Seattle has allowed just 8.2 points per game in the first half of road games this season and San Francisco has allowed just 4 points per game in the first half of home games this season. San Francisco has allowed just 12.7 points per game overall the season and opponents have averaged just 216.3 yards per game against them at home this season averaging just 12 points per game. San Francisco has allowed just 3.3 points per game in the first half of their last 3 games and opponents have completed just 47.7% of their passes against them at home this season averaging just 113 passing yards per game against them. I expect a very low-scoring first half here Monday night so play the under for the first half as we are hopefully completing another perfect sweep on the gridiron if my previous 4 football picks won.

In San Francisco’s three home games, they beat the Browns by 28, the Panthers by 38, and the Steelers by four despite committing five turnovers. Russell Wilson somehow has the Seahawks at 7-2 despite a defense that ranks 27th in DVOA, per Football Outsiders, but it will be too hard even for Wilson to keep pace against a Niners defense that’s allowed the fewest yards and second-fewest points in the league. Lay the points.

The Seahawks opened up their No. 1 pass DVOA last week and looked nearly unstoppable in a win over the Bucs, and even though San Francisco has the No. 1 pass defense, I don't think they can completely shut down MVP front-runner Russell Wilson. The Seahawks also love running the ball, and the 49ers rank just 20th in DVOA there. The San Francisco offense shouldn't have an issue moving the ball on Seattle's unit, and I expect this one to be a shootout. Hop on now because the total is only going up.

Utah boasts the best defensive efficiency, best EFG% against, allows the least fastbreak points and assists and assists per FGM in the league....this is NOT a good situation for a team led by DLo haha....with Paschall as the second best option potentially on offense.
Finally, they also allow just about 44 points to opponents in the first half and get Unders off to a great start....especially those north of 210!

49ers -6 over Seahawks
The 49ers have a few key injuries in TE George Kittle being out and their kicker, but they also should be getting back their left and right tackles on the offensive line. Ross Dwelley is going to be key in this game for the 49ers taking over the role Kittle has on third down. This offense has so many weapons that I don’t believe the Seahawks Defense can matchup with. Sanders and Goodwin are home run hitters and Bourne, Pettis and Samuel are all playing at a high level. The 49ers run game has been super impressive as well. Russell Wilson is playing at a high level for the Seahawks. This guy makes players around him better and is a true leader. I never like going against Wilson when he is getting points, but I think the 49ers Defensive Line can contain him. The 49ers Front Seven is special. These guys are super athletic and have the ability to slow down Wilson. Nobody is going to shut Wilson down, but they can slow his down. The huge X Factor is the height of Russell Wilson. Size is one of the most overrated aspects of a pro athlete and mainly just talking points, but tonight it’s significant because the 49ers Defensive Line has some really tall guys on it with massive wingspans. Throwing the ball over these guys is almost impossible if you are not a 6’5 QB. San Fran played well on the road last week against the Cardinals, but fell asleep in the final frame to allow the back door cover. The entire country is watching tonight and behind this home crowd I don’t see that happening again. Vegas got what they wanted tonight. The general public are not backing the 8-0 home team and are all over the Seahawks with this generous point spread. Seattle is never going to be out of a football game with Wilson, but they easily could be 5-4 this year. I believe San Francisco is better on both sides of the ball and should win and cover. Take the 49ers.

As if losing Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green wasn’t bad enough, now the Raptors are without Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka due to injuries. However, they pulled of an impressive win on the road Sunday against the Lakers, holding them to 104 points in the process. Facing the Clippers on the second night of a back-to-back set is a daunting task, but the Raptors are a good defensive team. They still have some dangerous players in Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet. I don’t think they will win, but I think they avoid being blown out.

Both teams are coming off blowout losses, but this should be a good spot for the youth-laden Grizzlies to compete well and cover the number. Rookie star Ja Morant and fellow rookie Brandon Clarke should be back after sitting out Saturday's loss to the Mavericks. The Spurs don't have the firepower to create the needed separation for this number against most teams, and their defense remains a work in progress. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins is former coach of San Antonio's G-League club so he is familiar with how the Spurs operate.

Belmont lost its season-opener, allowing 79 points to Illinois State, but it's a better defensive team than that suggests. ISU shot 50 percent from three in the game, and that's not sustainable. Plus, Belmont moves at such a slow pace on offense that I find it hard to imagine this game going over. As for Samford, it's defensive efficiency ranks 204th nationally in KenPom, but Belmont doesn't have quite the size to exploit it inside like other teams have.

The Rockets have won three straight games and are a much better overall team than the 2-7 Pelicans, who are last in the NBA in scoring defense at 123 points per game. James Harden is leading the NBA in scoring and the Rockets are starting to improve on the defensive end. The Rockets are scoring 120 per game and should have no problem eclipsing their season average.

They only beat the Hornets by five points without him on Saturday, which isn’t exactly an encouraging sign. Things weren’t great even with Ball in the lineup since New Orleans had lost three straight before that matchup. Not only that, but each defeat was by at least 10 points. The Pelicans are only 1-3 ATS at home this season, so I’ll take the Rockets to cover.
