Davis led the Panthers to a SU bowl win last season and he's covered 8 of 9 bowls as a HC. Meanwhile, ASU HC Blake Anderson is 1-4 ATS in bowl action. ND did fire their OC Chip Long after the regular season and it’s still unclear on who will be calling plays. I'm taking the points with Iowa State in a game I believe they'll win outright. The Cyclones lost 5 games this season and 4 of the losses came by a grand total of 11 points. They actually played the tougher schedule in this matchup and play a base defense that Irish QB Ian Book and the Notre Dame offense haven't faced. I'm not the first to point this out -- but ISU plays a lot of rush 3, drop 8, and I expect a little confusion from the Irish offense. Making matters tougher on the Dame offense is the fact they fired their OC a few weeks ago. HC Brian Kelly has been a bankroll burner in the bowls, losing all 4 ATS when favored, while covering 3 of 11 overall. ISU QB Brock Purdy is a dual-threat and gives the Irish defense a lot to worry about. Peach Bowl

I'm taking the points with Oklahoma on Saturday. LSU opened a 9.5-point favorite and the line shot up in no time. The value is certainly on the side of the Sooners as is dual-threat QB Jalen Hurts. The Sooner signal caller should give the LSU defense plenty of problems and we've seen the Tigers struggle against dual-threat QBs this season and Hurts is the best they'll have faced. There are some missing parts in this one with a couple OU star defenders sidelined by suspension, while LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire is listed as questionable (hamstring). But the Sooners are all about value in this one and even if they fall behind the backdoor cover could come into play with Hurts firing the ball throughout. Fiesta Bowl

I'm taking the points with Ohio State on Saturday night. The Buckeyes have been money as an underdog, covering 15 of their last 17, while winning 7 of those games outright. They've played the tougher schedule yet own the better scoring margin. Yes, Dabo Swiney has been terrific as a postseason HC and QB Trevor Lawrence has been terrific over the second half of the season. But Clemson hasn't come close to facing anyone of Ohio State's caliber and the backfield of Fields and Dobbins is going to be a tough out -- too tough for Clemson in our betting opinion. But I like the Sooners to make this a tight game with a good chance of winning. Joe Burrow has the traditional Heisman burden, while Jalen Hurts has been in this spot before. Even after Alabama jumped out to a 28-0 lead on the Sooners in last year's semi, they battled back within 11. I don't think they ever fall that far behind in this one.

Not a lot to say here but the facts are in. Clemson has the BEST Coach in this match-up. He has been to the Natty before (Often) and he knows the drill. His QB is absolutely the best, 20 TD's and ZERO Int's in the last 6 games. This is less than a field goal and even though I know that Ohio State is a very good team, Clemson is simply better. One of the key's in the Clemson offensive line which perhaps the best in the country at protecting the QB. If Lawrence has time this will be easy. If he does not his mobility will kick in. We su‘spect that he will have time and Clemson should outscore Ohio State even though we think the Buckeyes will have some success as well and because of that lean to the OVER. Let's lay the small number here..

How many people are going to look and see the Name Notre Dame only -3.5 against Iowa St and immediately think this is Free Money. Notre Dame is the Big Name at 10-2 while Iowa St is just 7-5. Don’t fall into the trap here. Where is Notre Dame’s motivation to be playing in the Camping World Bowl. For Iowa St playing Notre Dame is a big deal even if this is one of the smaller Bowl Games. Teams are always motivated to play the history rich Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Iowa St HC Matt Campbell is one of the up and coming coaches in College Football. Notre Dame has the 11th ranked defense while Iowa St has the 37th ranked defense but remember Iowa St plays in the Big 12 where most of the offenses put up big numbers. The Iowa St defense only allowed 3 teams to score 30 or more points all year and that’s playing in the explosive Big 12. Bowl Games are as much about motivation as there about Talent. Iowa St is the motivated team here and I have them pulling the Upset. TAKE IOWA ST +3.5 as my 5% MAJOR WAGER.

LSU has been a power house. There is not one team this year that has shut Joe Burrows down and I can’t see that changing today. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is questionable with a hamstring injury and he indeed would be a huge loss for the Tigers particularly in closing time when trying to end a game. Oklahoma has a few suspensions in this game with Ronnie Perkins being a big loss to this Sooners pass rush. The defense has improved this year bigtime, but they don’t force turnovers so winning this game will be tough. I do think this is a generous line for a Sooners team that has playoff experience against an LSU team that is brand new to this bowl playoff series process. I have watched LSU look lost on defense this year to mobile QB’s. Ole Miss and true freshman John Rhys Plumlee made them look silly. Jalen Hurts is an experienced senior QB that should do the same with his legs. Everybody is looking a Joe Burrow today, but Hurts is capable of stealing the show. I believe the winner has to get to 50 points today. This will be a fast paced game on a face paced indoor track with no weather or wind to worry about. Take Oklahoma and the Over.

This team is electric, but Clemson has been and always has been on another level and we are going to back them in a spot like this until they fall. I'm backing Louisville on Saturday. The last couple of meetings have not gone well for the Cardinals, losing 71-58 to Kentucky last season at home and 90-61 at Kentucky two seasons ago. The Cardinals will have a chip on their shoulder and something to prove and we believe they're catching Kentucky at the right time. The 'Cats are going to be fired-up after losing to Ohio State and Utah but that's not enough to get them over the hump in our opinion. Louisville has covered 5 of their last 6 games, while Kentucky is on a 0-4 ATS slide against teams with a winning record. Louisville shoots lights-out on the road but just as importantly, they can push Kentucky out to the perimeter on the defensive end where Louisville holds the opposition to less than 27% 3-point shooting and the Wildcats make an average of just 4.5 3's on 16 attempts per game. The Cards have also been a monster on the glass away from home. Finally, Kentucky has covered just 2 of their last 9 games overall, normally overvalued. I'm backing Louisville on Saturday afternoon. Analysis: Memphis will have Ryan Silverfield (OL coach here this year) at head coach as he got the permanent job after Mike Norvell left for Florida St after the regular season. Norvell also took DC Adam Fuller with him. No one on the staff has called plays. On the other side, Penn St lost OC Ricky Rahne who became the Old Dominion head coach. Penn St QB Sean Clifford is expected to start here after he missed the regular season finale vs Rutgers. This will be the best defense Memphis has faced this season and in their other game against a Power 5 opponent, they only managed 15 points vs Ole Miss in the opener.

1-Unit Play. Take #613 Florida International (+14) over Minnesota (4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28)
I actually think that Florida International has a chance to win this game outright. They are coming off their two best games of the year, beating Ohio State and then blowing out Oklahoma State. But I think the week off may have taken some of the wind out of their sails. This is also their last nonconference game and they start league play next week. So how motivated will they be?For FIU, this is a chance to knock off a Big Ten opponent. They already took N.C. State and Mississippi State, two teams that are better than Minnesota, to the limit in eight-point losses. I think they can do the same here.

1-Unit Play. Take #629 Louisville (+2) over Kentucky (3:45 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28)
Big game. Big rivalry. This should be a very good game and Kentucky isn't going to roll over in Rupp Arena. However, I still just think that Louisville is the better, more experienced team. Kentucky is coming off two straight losses and other than their ugly season opening win against shaky Michigan State they have just one other win over team ranked in the top half of college basketball. Louisville has five wins over Top 100 opponents. And while they haven't played on the road much this year these guys have all been around enough where they've proven in the past they can win in a tough venue like this.

1-Unit Play. Take #642 UCLA (-14) over Cal-Fullerton (5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28)
2-Unit Play. Take #647 Cal-Northridge (+8.5) over Boise State (6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28)
This is a tough spot for the Broncos. They had to play three games in four days in Hawaii during a Christmas tournament. Now they are back home - in Idaho - and have to play another game just a couple days later. I don't know how motivated this group is going to be. On top of that, I think that Cal-Northridge is a little undervalued. They just got back star player Lamine Diane. The guy is an NBA-caliber prospect but was ruled ineligible for the first semester. He's back now, though, and he scored 30 points in 29 minutes in his first game back. He's a difference maker and I think that a well-rested Northridge team will be able to keep this one competitive. Their last five losses - all of which have come against solid competition - were all by fewer than 10 points. And that was with Diane. I don't think the books are adjusting this line enough to his return. Add in that situational edge and I think that this one will end up as an eight-point Boise State win and stay well within this number. Take the points.

3-Unit Play. Take #660 BYU (-14) over Oral Roberts (9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28)
I think that BYU is going to continue to roll. They are back to full strength now that Yoeli Childs is back and this team is one of the best in the West. T.J. Haws and Jake Toolson give them a pair of go-to guys and Childs is just a beast. The Cougars have won four straight games. Three of those wins were total blowouts and they've won their last three games by 35, 33 and 30 points. I don't think it will be any different here. Oral Roberts is a team that likes to play fast. That is only going to exacerbate the talent gap in this game. Oral Roberts has played well on the road and against top competition. But I still don't know how good this team really is because four of their seven wins have come against D-II competition and two other wins have come against teams ranked in the bottom 40 of college basketball.

1-Unit Play. Take #8652 Georgetown (-17) over American (Noon, Saturday, Dec. 28)
Georgetown has been on a roll since dismissing four players last month. They've won five straight and almost all of them have been blowouts. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't keep it rolling. This is a step up in class for American, which hasn't faced a Top 100 opponent yet this season. I don't think they can keep this one close.

2-Unit Play. Take #8664 Arizona State (-17) over Texas Southern (3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28)
Texas Southern has been really competitive at times, losing by just six points at Wichita State and at Oregon. They've also been horrendous at times, losing by over 30 points at San Diego State, Arkansas and Gonzaga. So they are either going to get blown out here or they will make it a really close game. I'm obviously banking on a blowout, since they were good against Oregon their last time out and haven't strung together two good games yet this year. Arizona State is coming off back-to-back losses. They've had to sit on those losses for this full week. They should be ready to take out some frustration here.
