I think that this is a great spot for the Razorbacks to lay the wood. They got Isaiah Joe back last Saturday and he was outstanding, scoring 21 points in a 10-point home win. They are a completely different team with their best scorer on the floor. Not only that, but this team is not as bad as the results show from their time without Joe. They went 0-5 while he was injured. But two of those losses were in overtime, including one to Auburn. They had a third loss by just one point to a very tough Mississippi State team and the other two losses were on the road (at Tennessee and at Florida). So these guys are due for a bit of a bounce back. Tennessee is just 3-6 SU over the last month and none of the wins have been that impressive. The Vols are also coming off a total collapse against Auburn, blowing a 17-point second half lead in a loss to Auburn. The Vols also have bigger games on deck against Florida, Kentucky and Auburn after this one. So they are in a bit of a letdown/look ahead spot. Beyond that, Arkansas is desperate and they have a revenge motivation. The Razorbacks are also generally excellent at home and I think that they will prove it again tonight. The public loves the Vols in this one, with over 70 percent of the action coming in on them. I'll go the other way

This is a Nets team that is clearly upset from that loss, was playing well coming into that game, as they had beat the Pacers on the road by 1 point, the Raptors at home by 11 holding to 91 points, took the Sixers to Overtime and beat the Hornets by 29 points. The Wizards are playing well too now nearly knocking off the Bucks at home in overtime with back/back 50 point performances by Bradley Beal, first time since Kobe did it in 2007, but having said that, I think the Nets have the revenge, the Wizards are on a let down as the Nets likely get it done here.

Here is your classic College Basketball case of an unranked home team favored vs. a ranked road team. But in this isolated match-up the oddsmakers haven gotten the number wrong. Maryland is coming off a loss to ranked Ohio State, but the Terps are 22-5 and sit atop the Big Ten standings. As the road team who should be favored, this is a calculated spot we are betting into. Maryland's five losses have come to teams with a combined .691 win percentage (94-42) and four of those opponents currently are ranked in the Top 25. Minnesota is 13-13 with a losing record in the conference. This is not the same quality of opponent that has shown the ability to beat this legit Top Ten team. The Gophers have a NBA lottery pick in Daniel Oturu, but as a team they aren't even close to the level the Terps have as a collective group. Maryland has gone 4-1 both SU and ATS in their last five meetings with Minnesota, including winning each of the last two occasions in Minnesota. The Gophers have dropped three of the last four Big Ten games as hosts, so that is also another validation they have not earned this favorite tag. Maryland leads Michigan State by 1.5 games for first place, and they host the Spartans this upcoming weekend. Taking care of business tonight and then holding serve at home in a game they will be a solid favorite will effectively wrap up the regular season title as March begins. This is a big week ahead for Maryland basketball. First and foremost, the Terps get through this checkpoint with a road win over Minnesota, 75-63.

Miami is just 1-5 ATS when they have one day of rest. I think that they are going to win this game but I don't think that they are going to cover this big spread. I will take the points.

3-Unit Play. Take #508 Atlanta (+2.5) over Orlando (7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26)

Atlanta can be a tough team at home. They beat both Miami and Dallas after the All-Star Break. I think that they will get another home win here after a poor game in Philadelphia. Orlando is just 10-18 on the road this year and they are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Hawks are 7-1 ATS at home and 4-1 ATS as a home underdog. Atlanta is 8-2 ATS after a loss and I like them to get this outright win.

3-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 220.5 Boston at Utah (10 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26)

This total opened at 218.5 and has already gone up two points. That tells me where the sharp money is in this game. Boston has been a hot shooting team. They made 19 3-pointers in Portland in their last game and I think it will continue here. The Celtics have gone 'over' in four straight and five of their last six games. Utah's defense has really been struggling after spending most of the year in the Top 10. The 'over' is 7-2 in the last nine meetings between these teams. Take 'over' here.

The Clippers beat Phoenix by 21 points last time these 2 teams met and I look for them to take care of business on the road here tonight. I feel we are getting a great line here tonight because Phoenix just beat Utah on the road covering by 28.5 points in that game and that is the only reason the Clippers are not favored by at least 10 points here tonight. The Clippers are 27-13 ATS in their last 40 games when favored on the road and they are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against Phoenix. Phoenix is just 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 home games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games after a win by more than 10 points. The Clippers have averaged 119.2 points per game over their last 5 games while shooting 46.4% as a team and you can expect them to dominate the boards here tonight. The Suns opponents have shot 49.1% against them over their last 5 games and 47.2% against them at home this season. There is a decent size talent gap between these two teams. Bradley is now back to full strength will Elijah Childs back in the lineup. This is the same team that beat the Redbirds earlier this year without Darrell Brown and Elijah Childs available that night. I just can’t see a 9 win basketball team finding the magic to beat this Bradley team with those two guys back in the lineup. This Illinois State team is locked into the #9 seed in the Missouri Valley Tournament so mentally there is no fight in them to move up the ladder. Take Bradley.

Virginia Tech was rocked by UVA in the first meeting. It was the worst offensive showing the Hokies had in 50 years. I do think this Tech team has improved, but now you have a bunch of freshman that are feeling the effects of a long and grueling ACC schedule. The work load for more than half of this roster has never been seen or experienced. UVA has trouble scoring so we know on any given night they can be beaten, but I believe this is where coaching comes into play. Tony Bennett knows his squad has a massive size advantage and he will use it to his advantage. This should be another sloppy shooting game, but it’s exactly the type of game UVA lives to play for. Take Virginia.

Missouri has yet to win a road conference game. Vanderbilt is in the basement in the conference. Both teams are pretty bad, but the advantage goes to Missouri as they will never get a better chance to win on the road and need to take advantage of a Commodores team that is missing all of their forwards. This is a young Vanderbilt team that is in the middle of a season in which their coach was released and Jerry Stackhouse has since taken over with no coaching experience. Missouri has the size advantage tonight and if they can’t take advantage it will spell trouble for Cuonzo Martin heading into his fourth year as head coach. Take Missouri

The Heat have not been able to be home much at all this month...not as bad as the Spurs suffering this rodeo roadie all month, but damn close...this is just the 3rd times they've played at home since January 28th, but in those 2 games, they won by 30 and 20 points and in the first half absolutely destroyed the opponent! Going further back...not only are the Heat a dominant ATS team at home on the season full game at 18-8, but they are an almost as good 17-9 ATS in the first half and they are 7-2 as heavy favorites (-8+) ATS at the half, averaging a score at the break of 70-51!
The net rating in the last 5 home games is the NBA tops, the offensive rating is monstrous and the best in the league last 5 home games. I could go on and on like I did with the last 2 games...this play fits the same system as the past 2 days and again I would consider laying the full game amount just in the first half...luckily there is no need, but I also wanted to make sure I got this up while it was still -6 for value purposes!

If Jimmy Butler was healthy and a certainty and ready to go and whatnot...or if I could get more than "he had a workout at the facility" and he is up to questionable...this play would be like a 5%++ type play...as the Twolves are still without KAT, will have DLo, but also no Crabbe..are on the road in a very tough place to play...and play zero defense...which is a terrible thing against a team that scores efficiently..and likes to play solid D as well!

Villanova is really rounding into form and had a HUGE W over Xavier on Saturday prior to this game...in what felt like it might be a bit trappy of a spot..and the Musketeers needed that sort of win like their lives depended on it, but Jay Wright's boys didn't struggle all that much in the win...never trailing and proving they can get a big road win in Cincinnati despite also just shooting 7 for 29 from deep. That 64-55 win over Xavier is also getting us a slightly better price in this game than I would even have expected...so gracias to Xavier's defensive prowess and offensive offense.
St. John's plays at a rampant pace, does not play great defense...and has allowed 80, 77, 94, 73, and 79 in their last 5 losses...with the 79 being against these Wildcats in NY, but the other 4 being against much inferior offenses compared to how Nova has turned this season from potential mediocrity to a top seed possiblity in the big dance. Following a 7 for 29 performance from deep, I don't expect the Cats to shoot ANY less from deep, maybe more, on their own rims...and considering they already shoot and make more 3s each game than most every single team in the country...and the Johnnies 5th rated pace in the nation...this could and should be a game Nova gets into the 80s. I like this Over even more because of the price, the spot, AND because Villanova at home is going to get the best shot from every single opponent in the league. Creighton and Seton Hall knocked off Nova on their own floor this month..and they survived a Marquette scare by a single point....the opponent motivation and desire is full fledged...often leading to a potential spot to look for a letdown after this game for the Red Storm!

Far be it for me to recommend taking large road chalk inside a tough conference like the A10...but gracious...URI is off a nasty OT loss to Davidson...and they now know the outside chance at catching UD is completely gone...and taking out some aggression on a hapless team like the fellow Rams should just come easy.
