The Cardinals took the first meeting of the season, a 37-34 overtime win. The Seahawks have been turning the ball over at an alarming rate and must play much better defensively if they are going to have any chances in the division. Seattle’s defense is last in total yards allowed and passing yards allowed and is surrendering just under 30 points per contest. But the Seahawks do have the number one scoring offense, averaging just over 32 points per game. Arizona is scoring just under 30 per game and owns the No. 1 rushing attack in the NFL. The Over is 5-0 in the Cardinals’ last five games in Week 11 and in seven of the last nine November games for Seattle.

This is a huge game between teams heading in opposite directions. The Seahawks have dropped two straight games and Russell Wilson has committed 10 turnovers in the last four. He is 8-1 all-time on Thursday nights but continues to throw a ton of picks after he was making an early MVP push. Seattle lacks a running game and will struggle here. Kyler Murray continues to find ways to extend plays and win games. The Cardinals are 8-1-2 ATS in their last 11 games as a road dog. The underdog is 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings and the road team is now 9-2-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings.

50% chance of rain in Seattle early tonight but wind shouldn?t be a factor. The key here is much like Arizona versus Buffalo last week, we have a one-on-one matchup again of two of the 6-7 teams in the league each owning a mobile quarterback. What a difference that makes in this league these days. As mentioned last week with the ?OVER? pick with the Cardinals and Bills, the ?OVER? has been hitting 80-90% all season when you have a game featuring two quarterbacks with mobility and like to run. At the top of that list is Kyler Murray. In terms of MVP voting I have Murray only behind Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes. Two weeks ago Murray hit better than 80 percent of his passes with a 3-0 ratio against the Miami defense in a game the Cardinals lost at home! Facing the league?s #32 and DEAD LAST DEFENSE (total and versus pass), you have to expect Murray to have a huge game tonight especially with Seattle corners Shaquill Griffin, Neiko Thorpe, and Quinton Dunbar all OUT with injury. Murray is on pace right now for 4,260 passing yards with 32 touchdowns and another 1,086 rushing yards with 16 scores. That is nuts! The Seahawks with this defense can?t win by margin. Every game is precarious for the most part this year and I feel the burden on Wilson has been just too much. Obviously a loss here really hurts the Seahawks, who would be two games behind Arizona in the NFC West with I think six games left because they would have been swept the season series 2-0. That?s tough. The problem I have in backing Arizona is a short week off a miracle hail-Mary win, facing an opponent seeking revenge, and possessing a defense that has allowed 30 or more points in three straight weeks. This line is reflecting how much better Arizona is playing at Seattle. But in truth the Cardinals probably should have lost all three of their most-recent games considering two of the wins were over the Hawks by three and last week?s unreal finish by two over Buffalo. Plus all three of those games were at home. Wilson tends to be very good off a loss and excellent when the lights are the brightest (on national television). Hey the Rams are tremendous defensively with a great pass rush and possibly the best corner tandem in the league. There is no embarrassment for Seattle failing to score at least 27-points for the first time this year. Consider this: The week before they put up 34 on Buffalo and had four turnovers. There?s just no way in hell I?m betting against Wilson and I still believe if the Hawks get everybody back on defense they have the best roster in the NFC. The speed at wide receiver is unmatched. Carlos Hyde?s return should help the running game. I like ?OVER? tonight despite the high total. These are two teams that have the big-play capability and capitalize on turnovers as good as any two teams in the league. They obviously each have a QB that can escape the pocket and pick up first downs when coverage is good. This is among the best group of receivers you will see on the field this year. That game-winning catch by Hopkins on Sunday was something to marvel at. I think Wilson can exploit an Arizona secondary that likes taking chances plus are without corner Robert Alford, who never received the appreciation he deserved when in Atlanta. What?s crazy about the first meeting this year is both teams had over 30 first downs. I mean how many times do you see that? 33-31 Seattle and pure insanity! The two QB?s were 69-of-98 for 732 yards. That must have fun game for the corners and safeties. Arizona is coming off 30 or more points in five consecutive games for the first time in franchise history. The Cardinals are 8-0 ?OVER? since 9/20/2015 when on the road and coming off a home game in which they were favored and gained at least 400 yards. Seattle is 9-0 ?OVER? at home since 10/18/2015 coming off a loss in which they allowed 100 or more rushing yards. Seattle also 9-0 ?OVER? since 9/25/2016 when the total is at least 42 and coming off a defeat. Seattle 4-1 ?OVER? in their last five Thursday night home games while Arizona is 6-2 ?OVER? after playing Buffalo and 3-1 ?OVER? on Thursday evenings.

What was impressive about Tulane's win vs Army last week was how disciplined the Green Wave were against the triple option. Throughout the season, Tulane has been able to score. It has been the defense that has limited the Green Wave from winning more games. Tulsa, while solid defensively, tends to start games slowly. We should be in for a back-and-forth game that's' much tighter than the point spread.

Nothing like a piping hot key number like 55 to get your juices pumping with just 1 game on the NCAA slate. Many of you may know, and be bored with, my analysis regarding totals and landing spots and Vegas attempting to either trick or intimidate us perchance with the totals they set. 55 is the most common final score in all of recorded college football, increasing its percentage to 4% of all games over the past 5 years…that single total lands in 1 of every 25 games each Saturday. I am sure this sounds like the dumbest analytical tool, but with the exception of 4, 8, and 11, and obviously 1 and 2, there has been a game falling with a final score of every number from 3 to 137!! Basically paralysis by analysis, 4% is a MASSIVE amount!
Long story short….Tulsa cannot get out of their own way with penalties on offense…and Tulane's defense is no slouch. In the 3 game win streak scoring 38 points each time, they have just allowed 3, 21, and 12 points to the opponent. Of course, by the line and total you can tell this is clearly a couple steps upward in regard of quality of opposition, and one that might control the Tulane run game more than Temple, ECU, and Army consecutively, while also shooting themselves in the foot on their own offensive possessions.
This opened in the 53/54 range and BOOOOOMED down to 52.5 before being immediately bought back up at sharp shops to 55….within minutes to hours based upon the location of the sportsbook. They are going for the middling opportunity as Vegas is “projecting” a 30-24 Tulsa victory…and if taken simply upon this basis, a fade is in order as 30 is a LOFTY goal for this game, either team, period!

Analysis:

We track teams in many different ways and one of those is how they are playing now. What we know about the Green Wave is that they have the #74 Defense in the Land, not so great, but right now and over the last 3 games they have improved that number significantly. Tulsa is ranked #44 and that is not strange for this team, they play a good brand of D. Neither team plays will PACE both about midstream in the rankings. This conference game will feature some higher than usual Winds according to numerous weather sources. We don't play based simply on the weather but a Bonus here for sure. Our 3 CFB Models have numbers all lower than what Odds Makers have put out for us and that is the clincher to putting us on this game as a strong 2* Playˆ..
