Analysis: This is one of my bigger power rating discrepancies of the entire season. There are a lot of 5.5's out there right now with Bookmaker (http://www.bookmaker.eu/?cmpid=4437) dealing the +6 -115, but I like this as a 3* all the way down to 3.5.

Analysis: Some of our best bets this year have been on Titans games, with one major handicap: We like to bet the Titans as underdogs, but like to fade them as favorites. I see this game being no different against Cleveland.


Baker Mayfield has a 11-7 SU record against teams that do not rank in the top third of the league in pressure rate, but when teams can pressure him, his production falls off a cliff. The Titans rank 31st in the NFL in pressure rate and the Browns have one of the leagues best offensive lines, likely ensuring clean pockets for Mayfield. We know Cleveland can run the ball on just about anyone, and now we likely will get to see a productive day from their passing game as well.


Despite a 8-3 SU record, last week was the first game this entire season that the Titans won by more then one score. The Browns have defensive injuries, but let's not forget the Titans have their own injury problems as well at the offensive line position as well as every level of their defense.

Analysis: Do not believe the market is adjusting enough for the Colts and Texans offensive injuries.


Deshaun Watson throws for 55 less YPG, 1 less passing TD per game, and 1.5 less YPA when Fuller is out of the lineup. It's not just a few game trend either, this is over a 18 game sample size where Watson still had DeAndre Hopkins to lean on when Fuller was not playing. Not only are the Texans without Fuller, but they are also without their third WR Randall Cobb and just released their fourth wideout Kenny Stills. The bread and butter of Deshaun Watson's game is the deep passing game, but he is now left without any quality pass catchers outside of Brandin Cooks to go deep against a Colts defense whos zone based defense schematically takes away deep passes.


The Colts offense underperformed last week against a putrid Titans defense. The Colts started out hot, gaining 150 yards and scoring on their first two drives, however that all changed once LT Anthony Castonzo left the game with an injury. Once Castonzo left with an injury, the Colts proceeded to average only 3.9 YPP for the remainder of the game. Not only is Castonzo out this week, but the Colts could also be without C Ryan Kelly, troublesome because QB Phillip Rivers is one of the most protection dependent quarterbacks in the NFL.

Last year these two teams played two games that had 37 and 43 points. With the injuries on the offensive side of the ball and familiarity between these two teams, expect more of the same!

Analysis: Two teams playing slower then they were earlier in the season and running the ball at a higher rate.


The Giants are 28th in pace over the last month, and their defense is allowing the fewest PPG in the NFL over the last month! Colt McCoy is one of the weakest arm quarterbacks in the NFL, known mostly for being a conservative game manager.


Seattle's defense has allowed 6.4 and 4.8 YPA in their last two games, and HC Pete Carroll is convinced this is based off Seattle becoming more run heavy, which protects the Seattle defense. The Seahawks are last in the NFL in pace over the past two weeks, and they are also averaging 8 less pass attempts per game then they were previously in the season.


Once Jones is officially ruled out, which I expect, I would not be surprised if this number crashes even further.

Why will New Orleans cover the spread?

Despite the Falcons’ recent 4-2 stretch, they still sport one of the worst defenses on a per play basis. Their 6.2 yards allowed per play are the second-most in the NFL and their pass defense has especially struggled, allowing 7.8 yards per pass attempt (30th). Despite being a more talented rusher than thrower, Taysom Hill has averaged 7.97 yards per pass attempt in his two starts and posted an impressive 10.1 yards per attempt in his first matchup with the Falcons.

Atlanta has struggled to turn red zone trips into touchdowns. They’ve reached pay dirt on just 52.5 percent of their red zone visits this season, which ranks 27th in the league. Settling for field goals is not a recipe for success against this high-powered Saints' offense, illustrated perfectly by their Week 11 matchup which saw Atlanta go 0-1 in the red zone and manage just three field goals in their 24-9 loss.


The Saints pressured Matt Ryan on 23 of his 45 drop backs in their Week 11 matchup and sacked him EIGHT times while also forcing two interceptions, per PFF. Ryan has struggled against pressure all season completing just 47.2 percent of his passes for 6.4 yards per attempt, 7 TDs, 5 INTs, and a 69.9 passer rating. When kept clean, Ryan’s numbers skyrocket to a 72 percent completion rate and 7.8 yards per attempt, 10 TDs, 3 INTs, and a 101.6 passer rating (PFF). The Saints will likely live in the backfield once again this Sunday as they rank fifth in the NFL with a 25.6 percent pressure rate.

This is my NFL Total of the Year. I fully recommend this play at 45.0 If you book has it any higher than that I suggest just waiting. This number is tracking downward. Browns backers have been frustrated this year because on 3 occasions they have blown the cover in the craziest of ways, but you can’t hold grudges when it comes to sports gambling. Both teams have excellent running games. The Titans Derrick Henry is the man. The Browns Nick Chubb is the man. The Titans are a little banged up on the offensive line and the Browns get Myles Garrett back today. Garrett makes all the difference in the world and is the key to pressuring the QB and forcing turnovers. I don’t want to say Tennessee is overrated, but their defense is average and can be taken advantage of. Cleveland should have a balanced attack running the ball with the Chubb/Hunt combo and then Baker Mayfield should be able to find his downfield targets. I like the value with the underdog in this spot. Take Cleveland.

UC Riverside is playing rock solid defense to start this year. The Highlanders just beat a PAC 12 school in Washington and doing it on the defensive end is what is really impressive. This is not a team that is going to light up the scoreboard on offense, but today they get a Denver team that is a lot smaller and has yet to prove anything with their one win coming outside of D1 play. Denver is not a quality basketball team and the size and defensive effort from the Highlanders will be too much. Take UC Riverside.

4-Unit Play: Take 709 Oklahoma -4.5 over TCU (4 p.m., Sunday, December 6)

TCU is off to a 4-0 start to the season but it's not the best 4-0 team you'll find. The Horned Frogs look shaky on the offensive end again this season, unable to make 3's, while also struggling badly from the FT line. Oklahoma will play their second game of the season after shaking off the rust in a 39-point win over UTSA. TCU will be hard-pressed to slow down the Sooners and they don't have a solid defensive matchup for Brady Manek. TCU was able to slip past Tulsa, Liberty, and Northwestern State in their last three games but did so by an average of just 5 ppg. This is a step-up in competition despite the fact it's a conference foe. Oklahoma has defeated TCU in six straight meetings and I'm betting OU will get the job done again. 3-Unit Play. Take #693 Villanova (Pk) over Texas (2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6)

The Longhorns are riding high after their win in the Maui Invitational. However, they only had to play one good team, North Carolina, and they won that game on a last-second shot. That was actually the second game in the three they played in Carolina that was won t the last second. First, I think they could have a letdown. Second, Villanova is by far the best team they have faced yet - and the Wildcats are better than the Longhorns. I've seen Villanova win way more of these big games than I have Texas so I have absolutely no issue backing them here.

3-Unit Play. Take #695 Missouri (-4.5) over Wichita State (2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6)

Wichita State isn't terrible. But they still have issues. They still have negative karma from everything having to do with Gregg Marshall's firing. And that hurts them on the day-to-day also because Marshall was a really good in-game coach. The Shockers also lose out because they normally have a great home court advantage. Missouri is no joke. They are a legit contender in the SEC and they are coming off a dominating win over a real solid Oregon team. Missouri can win games inside and out, they are excellent defensively, and they have a very experienced group. I'll ride the Tigers until the books catch up to how good they are.

1-Unit Play. Take #701 Xavier (+3) over Cincinnati (3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6)

I don't like this Xavier team at all. I don't think they are any good and I will be betting against this team routinely this year. However, I think that this is a good spot for them. Cincinnati has only played one game. This is very much a transition year for them as they lost their three best players from last year's squad, including go-to guy Jarron Cumberland. Xavier has been sketchy already, and three of their wins have come by three points or less. But they have still found ways to win games and I just think that they are a little further ahead in their progress than the Bearcats.

2-Unit Play. Take #709 Oklahoma (-4.5) over TCU (4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6)

The Sooners have the two best players on the floor in this game, Brady Manek and Austin Reaves. This is a rebuilding season for TCU and I think that their 4-0 record is a bit of a mirage. Three of their wins - all against pretty weak competition - has come by six points or fewer so they haven't exactly been rolling people. If OU had played more than one game this year this play would definitely be rated higher. Lon Kruger just gets it done year-in and year-out and I think the Sooners have by far more talent than the Horned Frogs.

1-Unit Play. Take #716 Michigan (-12) over Central Florida (4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6)

Central Florida had a real nice win over Auburn. Now they are going to get blown out at Michigan. The Wolverines had a real solid core with Isaiah Livers (a future pro), Franz Wagner and Eli Brooks. Then they added some talented freshmen and two rock solid senior transfers, Chaundee Brown and Mike Smith. The Wolverines can play. Central Florida has only played one game this entire season. This is a team replacing four starters from a mediocre squad last year and I think they have a long way to go. Michigan will show them just how far here.

2-Unit Play. Take #730 Iowa State (-4) over DePaul (6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6)

The Cyclones are coming off an upset loss to South Dakota State. I think that they will bounce back here. This is a really streaky team and they are going to be hot and cold all season. After a lull their last time out I am expecting a better effort this time. This is DePaul's first game of the season. They have a real solid core, led by point guard Charlie Moore, but they are also trying to work some transfers into the mix and I think they will be a little rusty. Jalen Coleman-Lands played at DePaul last year and would love nothing more than to get some revenge against his former team. I think he'll match Moore today and if does that the rest of the Cyclones are better than the rest of the Blue Demons.

2-Unit Play. Take #739 California (+10.5) over UCLA (8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6)

This is too many points. UCLA has been unimpressive to start the season. They had a lot of hype coming into the year but it is easy to forget that this team really overachieved last year. At one point they were 12-11 before closing the year with a 7-1 run. That's great and all, but that momentum isn't going to carry over and it obviously hasn't. They got hammered by SDSU and were lucky to beat Pepperdine. Cal isn't good. At all. We hit against them with Arizona State on Thursday, but I think that they will be competitive in this game. I think they will be a sneaky ATS underdog in Pac-12 play this year and I think this is a good example.

Playing at home this season, Minnesota is on a run of high scoring games the likes of which are just about unprecedented. All six of the Vikings home games this season have seen at least 54 points scored. With Mike Glennon under center, Jacksonville showed last week it can move the ball reasonable well and do enough to force Minnesota to keep scoring in this game.

Going back to the end of 2019, every Minnesota home game has gone over the total. The Vikings are 7-0 OU (9.57 ppg) since Dec 29, 2019 at home (team=Vikings and H and date>=20191229).

And Minnesota is very familiar with its home surroundings right now. The Vikings are playing their third straight home game this week. Teams in the regular season playing their third straight home game are 150-113-9 OU (H and p:H and pp:H and playoffs=0).

Minnesota finds itself as a very comfortable favorite in this game, a spot where Minnesota has not been afraid to play high scoring games. The Vikings are 10-0 OU (10.30 ppg) since Dec 28, 2009 as 7-11.5 point favorite in non-Saturday games (team=Vikings and -11.5<=line<=-7 and day!=Saturday and date>=20091228).

Right now the Minnesota passing attack is rolling. Kirk Cousins has thrown for 300+ yards and three touchdowns each of the Vikings past two games. Teams that have thrown for 3+ TDs in back-to-back games are 205-174-13 OU.

Last week Justin Jefferson caught two of those touchdowns while two weeks ago it was Adam Thielan who had a pair of touchdown receptions. Teams coming off back-to-back games where they had a player with multiple receiving touchdowns are 144-94-5 OU.

You can bet the Rams will be ready to roll today against Arizona. Arizona has struggled offensively the last two weeks as whether he’s banged up or defenses have figured him out Kyler Murray hasn’t run the football like he did earlier in the season. He will have trouble against this pass rush of the Rams as Aaron Donald has been a QB’s nightmare this season. Offensively these two teams are fairly close with a slight edge to Arizona but defensively it’s not close. The Rams have the #1 defense allowing just 4.9 YPP. They are #2 in total yards per game allowing just 297 and #4 in points per game allowed at 19.5. Lastly we find that the Rams off a loss are 8-1 ATS in their next game the L2 Years and they are 15-6 ATS vs NFC teams the last 2 seasons. RAMS 28-20. Kansas City has played much better defensively and will feast on a banged-up and mentally defeated Denver team that has lost 10 straight meetings and is just 1-9 ATS during the skid.
