On the Outright market I’m looking at young Matthew Fitzpatrick this week. He is clearly trending in the right direction for his first PGA Tour win. He won the DP World Tour Championship on the European Tour back in December then followed that up with a missed cut in his next start. But since, he has gone T17, T5 and T11 last week at the WGC Workday Championship.
Fitzpatrick also has good history at this event. He finished runner-up here in 2019 which is one of his three Top-15 finishes in his last four trips here including T9 last year. He is currently ranked 27th on Tour in Strokes Gained (SG) Approach, 20th SG Tee to Green and 23rd Total SG.
For DFS players, Fitzpatrick can be had for $9,800 on DraftKings and $11,100 on FanDuel.
One other player I like this week for a strong finish is once again Will Zalatoris whom I’ve backed several times already this year. He continues to impress every week finishing T22 last week in the WGC event following a T15 at The Genesis and has four Top-10 finishes dating back to the US Open. DFS players can grab him at $8,600 at DraftKings and $10,000 at FanDuel.

NeSmith is relatively unknown to those that aren’t avid golf fans and that just presents some good value here on him this week as it has over the last several tournaments. Eventually that will catch up as I think he has a very high ceiling, but for now, I’m going to grab him while the getting is good.
NeSmith is #1 on the PGA Tour in Greens in Regulation this year and as such is #9 in Strokes Gained Approach. On top of that, he is #38 in driving accuracy which is very important at Bay Hill as the course has some nasty rough. Combine both of those metrics and he ranks #17 on Tour in Strokes Gained Tee to Green, not bad for a guy you probably have never heard of.
In 12 events this season, he has missed the cut four times, but he also has finished inside the Top 20 in half of those 12 events including each of his last three. He also is a strong finisher on Sunday as he has shot sub-70 on seven straight Sundays which gives additional hope even if NeSmith trails An going into the final round.
Ben An seemed like a guy that was going to make a name for himself on the Tour, but it never really manifested into much and this year he has really been struggling. He can’t get off the tee which as I mentioned can be killer at Bay Hill and he can’t putt which doesn’t bode well for a guy missing fairways who might have to rely on putter to save him. He ranks 131st on Tour in SG Off the Tee, 200th in Driving Accuracy and 231st SG Putting.
An also hasn’t had many leaderboard appearances this year as he has missed the cut in five of his 11 events with only one finish inside the Top 35.

Despite Tottenham's recent poor run of form they looked sensational in Sunday's win over Burnley, dispatching the Clarets 4-0 in a rout, and after a tough stretch of games where they faced Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, Fulham might be exactly the kind of tonic they need to string another winning run together.
Gareth Bale scored a brace in that game and the Welshman is really finding his groove right now in what is on its day one of the most explosive front three's in Europe.
Harry Kane has scored in four straight against Fulham and Spurs have netted two or more goals in their last five road games against Fulham also, so take Spurs tonight to hand their cross town rivals another loss on Thursday as they look to get back on another winning run.

Tough scheduling spot for the Leafs here after battling Edmonton on the road yesterday.
In 5x5 G+-/60 Toronto has a large edge ranking 4th to Vancouver’s 26th. In xG/60 we find the Leafs +0.29 and the Canucks -0.34. Much closer than the actual numbers would suggest. Maybe a little regression is in store for each of these clubs.
On the Power Play Toronto comes in ranked 2nd and the Canucks 26th. In xG/60 the Leafs are +8.57 and Vancouver 5.51. A huge advantage for Toronto.
Looking at the Penalty Kill we see Toronto 17th and Vancouver 14th. In xG/60 the Leafs are -4.67, and the Canucks -7.26. So the host isn’t nearly as good as the actual numbers show.
While we know the Maple Leafs are the better team when playing non 5x5 hockey. The scheduling situation is a huge one. Let’s take a shot with the home dog here.

Southern Utah isn't going to scare anyone with their play on the defensive end but they're a team to be reckoned with at the other end of the floor. Todd Simon has turned this program around and they head into tonight's game with a 7-game win streak in two and a 17-3 record overall. SUU is strong on the glass and they're top-30 in all of CBB in 2 point accuracy. They also own the nation's 18th best ranking in FTA/FGA ratio. Portland State is one of the worst shooting teams in CBB, inside the 3-point line or beyond it. They also foul way too much which plays right into one of SUU's strengths mentioned above. FOXY CARMELA - I'm expecting this horse to run a good race this time out. POLAR ROUTE - This filly is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprinters that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. IROQUOIS HEART - That last morning drill tells me this mare is set for a top race. This horse has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 33 to 42 to 45 in succession.

OFFICE PARTY - In this race here, this thoroughbred has clearly shown signs that she likes the grass. Her speed ratings are the highest in the field for this distance and surface. Based on morning blow outs, I look for this filly to run a big race. Horses out of the barn of Catalano have been strong on the grass. Should do well in this race. This racer may have too much power on the turf for the rest of the field. Turning for the finish line, she could put these away. That 85 fig this filly garnered in her last contest tells me she's a chief player this time around. Last raced at Fair Grounds with a poor post position. I swiped some data from The Brain, and his computer says the inside should be a big help to this one today. FAIRCHILD - This filly was overlooked in the betting when she made her debut December 26th. Look for another big effort today. Carroll was aboard this filly last out and was impressed enough to take the animal right back. Filly made a nice late run going 5 1/2 furlongs on Dec 26th. I have to like her chances stretching out today. I look for a chance at a big improvement in this race with the addition of Lasix for the 2nd time. DANCEFORTHEEMPIRE - This pony comes out of a sharp barn for 1st time starters. Walsh has a very solid ROI (+157 percent). It's a big plus that this 1st timer has been working over the same track that she makes her debut at today. I know the outfit is serious today. The filly gets Lasix for the first time. MUCHO MACHO MOMMA - I cannot ignore the fact that this filly is working extremely well. You probably should overlook that last affair at Fair Grounds in the slop where she finished outside the top 3. Should do well today under better track conditions.

WICKED BISOU - In the last event this runner finished fifth. Doesn't look good for her chances in today's event. Don't feel this less than sharp equine will make a winning move today. That last rating was most unsatisfactory when compared with today's class figure. WALK ME HOME - Hasn't been close to winning at all lately. GATHERED FLOWERS - Doesn't look inspiring to me after the lack of any sort of closing response on Dec 26th.

My selection for this race is PARKIN IN THE REAR especially at a long price. Has been running quite well lately and will almost certainly be up near the lead early on. The Lasix change (with second time Lasix) may spark a return for this filly. DANA'S BEAUTY - Ran a strong last race. One of the most respectable win percentages between this rider and trainer make this filly dangerous. AVA'S GRACE - With one of the strongest jockeys in terms of dividends at the window, don't count this filly out.

The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off their worst loss of the season, falling 97-128 at home to the Denver Nuggets. This is their final game before the All-Star Break, so I have no doubt we'll get a big effort out of them tonight. It should be enough to cover this 5.5-point spread against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Bucks had gone 5-0 SU & 4-1 ATS in their previous five games, so that loss to the Nuggets was certainly an aberration. They just got Jrue Holiday back at point guard and he is going to make them a much better team moving forward now that he is healthy. He'll make everything else easier on his teammates, especially Giannis.
I think this is a good time to 'sell high' on the Grizzlies, who are coming off two straight blowout wins over the Rockets and Wizards. This is a huge step up in competition for Memphis, which has recent blowout losses to the Clippers by 20, Suns by 31 and Mavericks by 10. They haven't fared well against the best teams in the league.
Milwaukee is 16-4 ATS in its last 20 games after an upset loss by 10 points or more. Memphis is 1-5 ATS in its last six games following a win by more than 10 points. The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as home underdogs. Bet the Bucks Thursday.

With the Grizzlies coming off consecutive blowout wins on the road and the Bucks getting their doors blown off at home against the Nuggets two nights ago, I can understand why we're dealing with a fairly short pointspread (by Milwaukee standards) in this game. With that being said, I'm take a small flyer with the Bucks here as they've fared very well in similar situations in recent years. Perhaps the dud against the Nuggets was to be expected on Tuesday. After all, Milwaukee was coming off consecutive tightly-contested, nationally-televised victories over the Pelicans and Clippers, and perhaps had one eye on the All-Star break. They've also been a solid positive momentum play, posting a 51-31 ATS mark after winning three of their last four games over the last three seasons, outscoring opponents by an average margin of nearly 11 points. While Memphis has showed out over its last two games, the fact is it is still just 7-10 SU and 7-9-1 ATS at home this season and getting outscored by more than four points per game. My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut in the NBA on Thursday is on the Miami Heat plus the points versus the New Orleans Pelicans. Both these teams come off upset losses at home. Miami (17-18) got beat by Atlanta, 94-80, as a 2.5-point favorite on Tuesday. The Heat are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games after a double-digit loss at home. Miami goes back on the road where they have covered the point spread in 33 of their last 53 games after playing a game that finished Under the Total. New Orleans (15-19) was upset last night to Chicago by a 128-124 score as a 6-point favorite. The Pelicans have then failed to cover the point spread in 7 of their last 8 games after allowing at least 125 points in their last game. New Orleans has also failed to cover the point spread in 10 of their last 12 home games when favored. Take Miami plus the points. Best of luck — Frank.

Their only loss came last time out when they were playing the second of a double-header with the Hawks after beating them by 10 the game before. I think they just had a letdown. Now they had yesterday off and will be fresh and ready to get back on track against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans are coming off a hard-fought 124-128 loss to the Bulls last night. They made a nice comeback in the 4th quarter to make it interesting. But now they will be a tired team here and won't have much left to give against the Heat playing the second of a back-to-back. It will also be the 6th game in 9 days for the Pelicans tonight. It's no wonder they have lost three of their last four coming in as they are a fatigued team. Give me the Heat.

Texas opened the current season 10-1 (4-0 Big 12) and rose to No. 4 in the AP's Jan 11th poll. However, the Longhorns visit Norman, Ok tonight having gone 5-8 its last 13 to fall to 15-7 (9-6 in Big 12). Oklahoma was just 6-4 (2-3 Big 12) after 10 games but then won EIGHT of nine (four wins over ranked opponents) to reach No. 7 in the Feb 22nd AP poll at 14-5 (9-4 Big 12). However, the Sooners welcome Texas to the Lloyd Noble Center off THREE straight losses, at lowly Iowa St and back-to-back losses to "Bedlam" rival Oklahoma St.
The Longhorns have a trio of guards averaging in double digits, led by Andrew Jones (14.8 & 5.0) plus Ramey (13.3-3.0-4.0) and Coleman (12.8-3.8-4.4). Up front, it's the 6-9 Brown (10.7 & 6.9) plus the 6-11 Kai Jones (8.7 & 5.0) and the 6-10 Sims (8.1 & 6.5). Oklahoma's top scorer from last season is gone (forward Doolittle averaged 15.8 & 8.9). Starting guards Reaves (17.6-5.7-5.1), Harmon (13.0) and Gibson (10.5) average in double digits, while Harkless (7.2 & 4.9) and Williams (6.6) add depth in the backcourt off the bench. The 6-9 Manek (10.4 & 5.1) and 6-7 Hill (4.5 & 3.2) start up front with the 6-10 Kuath (5.9 & 4.7) coming off the bench.
The Sooners won 80-79 at Texas back on Jan 26 but both teams are much healthier than they were back in late January. Thursday's game will have a big impact on the Big 12 race. The Longhorns are a half-game up on Oklahoma for fifth place. The loser could be in peril of dropping to seventh, which would mean a first-round game in the conference tournament instead of a bye into the quarterfinals. I realize Texas has the revenge motive on its side but I'm backing Oklahoma, which should be primed to bounce back from two VERY close losses to Oklahoma St. Boomer Sooner!

Tough scheduling spot for the Leafs here after battling Edmonton on the road yesterday.
In 5x5 G+-/60 Toronto has a large edge ranking 4th to Vancouver’s 26th. In xG/60 we find the Leafs +0.29 and the Canucks -0.34. Much closer than the actual numbers would suggest. Maybe a little regression is in store for each of these clubs.
On the Power Play Toronto comes in ranked 2nd and the Canucks 26th. In xG/60 the Leafs are +8.57 and Vancouver 5.51. A huge advantage for Toronto.
Looking at the Penalty Kill we see Toronto 17th and Vancouver 14th. In xG/60 the Leafs are -4.67, and the Canucks -7.26. So the host isn’t nearly as good as the actual numbers show.
While we know the Maple Leafs are the better team when playing non 5x5 hockey. The scheduling situation is a huge one. Let’s take a shot with the home dog here.
