She was flat last time out but she's capable of something better than that here. Guessing she'll bounce back enough to land a piece of this.

Lean on E has some speed and an ability to rate, so she should be able to find a comfortable spot right near the top in the early going.

Her two local route tries were the best of her career, so she's got proven two-turn form that some of these lack. She's the one to beat, but maybe at too short a price.


#6 Sail Above
She took a bit of cash in the debut when asked to go two turns out of the box, and I'd expect to see something better from her this time around with that first route try under her belt.


Race Summary
Tipsy Chatter is quick enough to find a good spot from the outside. There is some other pace signed on in here, but she might be able to prompt that speed from the wide draw at a fair price.

You might get his teammate, too, and this guy brings pretty sharp recent form, including an easy win last time out. Still, he does not routinely back up good efforts, so it might be worth standing against today.

Legit needs to bounce back here, but he should get a decent race flow to work with from off a decent pace -- there are a handful of :46-47 half mile types in here who can keep each other honest.

Tonight's headliner at Yonkers Raceway goes in Race 7, an Open Handicap with a $37,000 purse. That race also begins the $1.00 Late Pick 4 sequence and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 7

1-Micky Gee N (3-1)-Comes off a win and now steps-up and is assigned the rail. Got a sharp steer but what shouldn't be overlooked was the 55.2 back half when leading the charge to the wire. Best to respect, can stay good for a while.
3-Rollwithpapajoe (9/2)-Tossing last from the 8-hole and from this post should be no worse than in the pocket when the dust settles. Winner of 11 in 26 starts at Yonkers looks like a major player.
8-Raukapuka Ruler N (7/2)-Defeated 3 from this group in last by wiring the field from post 5. This won't be as easy but still has the gate speed to get the top or a close-up seat. The post helps the price and Stratton could provide a good steer.

Race 8

2-Heisman Player (2-1)-Drops to a spot to shine and Zeron should have this 5-year-old forwardly placed. Could make the most of the post draw with the return of its regular pilot.
5-Tin Roof Raider A (5/2)-Steps-up after rolling a 55.2 back half and has hit the board in 8 of 14 starts at Yonkers with 4 wins. Bartlett has choices from this post and the Harris trainee should be within striking range at the 3/4's pole.

Race 9

2-Caviart Luca (9/2)-Veteran class horse was in tough in the last 2 starts at Phl and now drops to a more comfortable spot. Burke trainee has won over 26% of Yonkers starts and now returns to the level of last picture on 4-20.
3-Can B Perfect (5/2)-Last start was in the slop and the 4-year-old has an off-track record of 1 win in 8 starts. Did race okay but couldn't close fast enough after a .57 opening half. Siegelman should have this 4-year-old in the hunt turning for home.

Race 10

2-Walkinshaw N (3-1)-The last 2 starts at this class have been in the slop and from the 8-hole. Fits with this group, should have no excuses as Zeron could be aggressive from the post and might be bet down. Maybe gets a pocket ride behind #5.
5-Fine Diamond (5/2)-Does face tougher but has cashed checks here versus better. Slight morning line favorite could fire out to get the top and may not look back.

First of two games in Atlanta between the visiting Wizards and the host Hawks and I am playing the Over in this Monday key Eastern Conference showdown, even with the Wizards Bradley Beal sitting this one out with his hamstring injury.

The first time the teams played was at the end of January in D.C. and that meeting landed well Under the total of 235 that night. I don't think we are headed for a repeat, as the Wizards come into this game with a definite Over trend on their side. Washington has played Overs in each of their last 5 games and in 8 of their last 10 overall.

Atlanta comes into this home game having landed Over the total in 3 straight and in 4 of their last 5 overall.

This will be the first meeting between the teams in Atlanta this season and 3 of the last 4 series meeting dating back to the 2018 season on Atlanta's court have tipped Over the total.

I fully expect this showdown to see enough offense to take the final result into the Over column.

Make it 6 straight Overs for the Wizards and 4 straight Overs for the Hawks.

You can throw out the fact that New Orleans has defeated Memphis both straight up and against the spread in 5 straight and in 7 of the last 8 meetings overall.

Without Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram and with Steven Adams also ailing, the chances the wounded Pelicans stay close tonight in Bluff City are slim and none and slim just walked out the door.

New Orleans showed us all a little something with their gut-check win last night at Charlotte to keep their playoff hopes flickering, but tonight the Grizzlies push the Pels one step closer to being eliminated as they snap the 5 game series slide with a big time blowout.

Memphis is back home after winning and covered 2 of 3 on their recent road trip as they are currently in possession of the #9 seed for the playoff play-in series that gets started in less than 2 weeks.

The Grizzlies are 19-13 against the spread at home for the year and they catch the Pelicans both shorthanded for tonight's game and playing in a back-to-back spot, while Memphis had a day of rest.

I was looking to back the Reds and Tyler Mahle in Sunday's series finale at Cleveland, but the game was postponed. Mahle will instead take the mound in Monday's series opener at Pittsburgh and I like him and the Reds even more in this spot.
Mahle has a 2.93 ERA and 1.109 WHIP in 6 starts. He's even better when he's not having to deal with the ball flying out of the park at Great American Ballpark, as he owns a 1.29 ERA and 1.071 WHIP in 3 road starts. That includes a road start at the Dodgers, where he held LA to just 1 run in 5 innings.
Pittsburgh will counter with Mitch Keller. Not a lot to like here. Keller has a 6.29 ERA and 1.685 WHIP in 6 starts. Monday NHL Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Tampa Bay and Florida at 7:05 pm et on Monday.
The Panthers won in a surprising 5-1 rout against the rival Lightning on Saturday night. I'm anticipating a much tighter affair on Monday night, and that should lend itself to a lower-scoring result as well. Tampa Bay is limping down the stretch and will likely be without Victor Hedman again on Monday (lower-body injury). Note that the Bolts have now scored two goals or less in four of their last five games overall. Here, they'll be focused on tightening things up after allowing exactly five goals in consecutive games. Note that prior to those two contests, Tampa Bay had given up two goals or less in four straight games. The Panthers have scored four goals or more in five straight games but face a bit of a tough spot here with the Lightning having allowed just 2.3 goals per game when playing on the road revenging consecutive losses in which their opponent scored three goals or more over the last two seasons. That situation has produced an 0-6 o/u record with an average total of just 4.6 goals. Also note that Florida averages just 2.4 goals per contest after winning six or seven of its last eight games over the last three seasons. On the flip side, Tampa allows only 2.4 goals per game after losing two of its last three games over the last three seasons, as is the case here. Take the under (8*).

Nothing against the Avalanche. They just might be the first or second best team in hockey. But I want the Golden Knights going for me at this value price in this showdown matchup with the West Division title likely at stake.
Las Vegas is 14-2 in its last 16 games. The Golden Knights are riding a seven-game home win streak and would match the Penguins for the best home record in the NHL at 22-4-2 with a victory. The Golden Knights consider this their biggest and most important game of the season. So I expect Las Vegas to have Marc-Andre Fleury in goal. He's 4-3 against Colorado this season with a 2.14 goals against average and .932 save percentage. The Golden Knights have won the last eight times Fleury has been in net, never allowing more than two goals during this win streak. Las Vegas has been without its leading goal scorer, Max Pacioretty, the past four games. This is more than off-set by the Avalanche possibly being minus their leading points producer, superstar Nathan MacKinnon. He's missed the last two games with a lower-body injury and is a game-time decision. The Golden Knights aren't nearly as reliant on their top scoring line as the Avalanche are when MacKinnon is teamed up with Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog.

The Utah Jazz are 50-18 with one week left in the current NBA regular season. Utah was helped by the Lakers last night, who beat the Suns 123-110 despite playing without LBJ, Schroder and Kuzma. That result gave Utah a two-game lead over Phoenix for the West's top record. The Jazz have won FIVE straight and will play THREE of their last four games on the road, beginning tonight in San Francisco against the Golden St Warriors. The Warriors have rebounded from having the NBA's worst record last season (15-50) to enter this contest at 35-33. They currently own the No. 8 seed in the West and are destined for the NBA's "Play-In" tournament. Holding onto that No. 8 seed IS important (Memphis is just a half-game back), as the No. 8 seed will open with a game vs the No. 7 seed and can qualify for the playoffs with a win. Lose that game and they would still get a second-chance against the winner of the No. 9 vs No. 10 seed. In contrast, the No. 9 seed would need to beat the No. 10 seed AND beat the winner of the No. 7 vs No. 8 game.
Utah's backcourt duo of SG Mitchell (26.4-4.4-5.2) and PG Conley (16.4 & 6.0 APG) remain sidelined. Mitchell hasn't played since April 16 (ankle) and Conley since April 26 (hamstring). Stepping up during Utah's five-game surge have been SF Bogdanovich (16.9) and 6th-man Clarkson (17.7). Bogdanovich has averaged 30.2 PPG during the streak and Clarkson 20.6 PPG. Center Gobert is once again providing outstanding play in the middle, averaging a double-double (14.3 & 13.3) on the season, as well as being one of the NBA's best defenders.
James Wiseman (11.5 & 5.8) Golden State's No. 1 pick (second overall) of the 2020 Draft, struggled staying healthy and is now out for the year. SG Oubre (15.4 & 6.0), the team's third-leading scorer has been sidelined since April 27 (wrist injury), plus role players like Paschall (9.5) and Lee (6.5) are also out. However, Steph Curry (31.9-5.5-5.7) is carrying the Warriors "on his back!" The Warriors have found some renewed vigor in winning FOUR of five, looking to avoid that No. 9 seed. As for Curry, he's averaging 37.6 per game in his last 20 contests (going back to April 1), including SIX games of 40-plus points and a 53-point effort at home vs Denver on April 13.
Golden St is 21-11 SU at home and I'm taking the small home dog.
