Tyler Mahle has been very good this season, although he has been much worse at home with a 6.93 ERA in five starts. He has been struggling with walks recently allowing five in his last two starts. Neither team has been playing particularly well recently but both bullpens have been very good in this series. The Reds actually have the 20th ranked wOBA against lefties this season but they have the fourth highest win percentage in the league against lefty starters going 16-10. Take the under.

Oddsmakers clearly don't trust Cards starter Johan Oviedo (0-3, 4.62 ERA) much. He has been much better at home, though, with a 3.28 ERA. It's the MLB debut of Bucs pitcher Max Kranick. He isn't a top prospect and was meh at Double-A and Triple-A this year (4.37 combined ERA). Pittsburgh is on a six-game losing streak on Sundays.
