Most people look at this game and think what a tough game, however, we see this game as a 7 to 10 point Patriots victory. We are shocked that we are getting 2 points here at the time of this writing and thus it will be a 5% release. For one thing, we have never been a big fan of QB Carson Wentz and we believe this NE defense that are ranked 3rd but we would argue are Number 1, will slow this Indy offense down. Indy will try to run the ball with RB Taylor but you know who is well aware of this? That is HC Belichick. This brings us to another HUGE reason we are on the Patriots in this spot. Both these clubs are on a bye week and give NE two weeks to prepare (well actually 12 days, they played on a Monday and now this game is Sat) and we will take hoodie all day long. It is also true that mentally the Patriots have the edge here as they have beat Indianapolis 8 straight times.
No matter what you believe that does mean something. We see this in the NHL all the time over decades. The schedules here are what has us on NE as well. We believe that NE has not had the easy wins Indy has had which gives them a few false starts in our opinion both offensively and defensively. Indy has had the luxury of padding the defensive stats by playing Houston (twice), Jacksonville, and the Jets. Meanwhile, NE has now won 7 straight games beating the Chargers, Tennessee, and destroying a very good Cleveland team. They come to Indianapolis knowing that if they can win the next 4 games they could have everything run through Gillette Stadium for the playoffs. That might be the largest reason of all why we love this NE team to beat the Colts on Saturday night. The fact that the Colts are only 3-4 straight up at home this year just solidifies our selection. So let's get the job done with the New England Patriots.
