For today’s Free Play let’s head on over to an Eastern Conference matchup at Capital One Arena where the Detroit Pistons travel to take on the Washington Wizards. Granted, this is not a marquee matchup. Neither team is expected to go very far this season. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make money off of them. After starting of the campaign off with a win at home against Orlando, Detroit has now dropped two in a row, both on the road. Not only were they SU losses, they have failed to cover both, losing on Friday to New York by 24-points and then on Saturday to Indiana by nine-points. By the way, both the Knicks and the Pacers are touted to finish last in their divisions. So, things aren’t looking too good for the Pistons folks. This is a team that’s covered just one game over there last six outings going back to last season. They’re absolutely horrible. To make matters worse, they are a visitor against a Wizards team that has covered seven of the last eight meetings against them in Washington. No, Washington is not highly-touted this season either. But the Wizards have put forth three very strong efforts so far this season going 2-1 They beat Indiana on the road and then bested Chicago at home. They did drop their last game, two nights ago in Cleveland. However, they didn’t push the Cavaliers into overtime. Their offense leaves a lot to be desired. But their defense has been stellar. They rank eighth, yielding just 108.0 points per game thus far. And are absolutely attacking the glass on the defensive side. Coming off their first loss of the campaign and returning back home, I expect the Wizards to crash the Pistons here. Take Washington. Thank you.

If Batista gets him out of the gate cleanly it'll likely be smooth sailing. LADY BREANNA - Jock jumped on this mare's back for the 1st time on October 3rd. Should 'know' the animal even better in today's race. Don't often see a positive ROI like +78. This rider/trainer pair has done well together over the last 12 months. This mare is in excellent form right now. Finished first last out and comes back soon.

Is a sharp contender based on figures earned recently under today's conditions. BIG CHICKEN MAN - He looks very strong in this spot and I expect will be on the lead or close at the halfway point. Has to be given consideration based on the respectable Equibase Speed Fig put up in the last race.

DIAL AGAIN - If this filly gets out of the gate cleanly, she'll be tough to catch. I have to figure that this contest's shorter distance should help this filly. OUT MY DEAR - Sub-par effort last out at Thistledown was due to the off-going (she finished fourth). I'd expect a better race today without the off-track conditions. Rider hops right back on board after getting to know the magnificent animal by riding in the last race. That's always a big time angle. This horse's last race was out at Thistledown in a race with a class rating of 70. Dropping considerably in Equibase class figure this time puts her in a solid position in today's race. I like the hard fact that this filly's last speed fig, 67, is tops in this group. I GOT HOPE - I took a look at this filly's finishes. She's almost always in the money. I am keen on that latest effort on October 13th at Thistledown where she finished second.

BAREFOOT BEACH - Looked like she was in good form on September 27th. Hasn't been near the track since then though. Not a positive sign. This pony ran a somewhat easily forgotten rating in the last race. She shouldn't improve and will likely get beat in today's event running that rating. LA LA ANGEL - Will probably be stranded with too much to do down the stretch. When looking at today's class rating, she will have to record a much better fig than last race out to be competitive in this dirt sprint. ARTIES CRYPTONITE - Hard to play at 8/1 odds after the most recent efforts.

Look no further than WADADLI as the bet in this race. His 90 average has this gelding among the most favorable speed ratings for this race. Been competing with some tougher customers of late, has a distinct class advantage. (Average Rating 91). PARSHALL - 77 percent of the time this trainer and horse pair end up hitting the board. Big players in this contest. Very likely think these two have an excellent working relationship.
