#4 Golden Runner
I've been chasing this barn with maidens in this space, and they've come through with a couple super live price runners while landing shares. They've won with route maidens like this in the past, too. I'll bite again.


#8 Dias Alegres
She'll probably take some cash for a tough barn locally, and I like the fact that we can see both of these top two on the tote and track ahead of the Pick-4.


#2 Puffin
Price player might be worth a look for a piece for a team that has slowed a bit after coming out of the gate strong this meet. That said, I'll always give a Street Boss a look on the move to synthetic or turf, so and improved effort here wouldn't surprise me.


Race Summary
#9 Friction can probably do better while getting around two turns for the Cox barn, but I think there are likely to be some more appealing price options. Golden Runner goes first out for a barn that might pop with another big price graduation runner soon.


Turfway Park - Race #6

#4 Casa de Goat
It'll be a pretty strong lean here for me in the late Pick-4, as she's got some sprint pace in a race where I'm not sure too many of them can keep up with her early. Think she might like the shorter trip again here.


#5 Azul Tequila
She went pretty evenly in the comeback run after being away more than a year, so she's got some room to move up in here, and I think she might work out a really trip spying the top choice. Will be on the tickets.


#1 Code For Success
There are a handful of races on her page that make a good bit of sense, but she doesn't have a ton of early speed and might be along too late to land this.


Race Summary
Casa de Goat looks fastest early on, and she might prove a good fit with the locals while trying the footing for the first time. Think she's going to be tough here, but I'll have some backup coverage with Azul Tequila.

She has never been in this cheap, and she's got really reliable tactical finishing form that tends to give her the jump on the deep closers. Takes aim into the stretch and scores?


#10 Cast No Stones
She just missed in the local debut last out and now goes for the new team, but her form isn't all that reliable, so I wouldn't be too excited to land here at a short price in hopes she'll run all the way back to it.


#5 Star of Shanghai
She got back to the right kind of level when facing similar again last out, and I think she's got a baseline effort she figures to run to again here that might be enough for a piece.


Race Summary
Awesome Lawson should get a good race flow in here while tracking the splits, and this softer crew gives her a real chance to pounce and go clear.

He figures tough in his seasonal debut despite a winless 2022 season. Bet to win and place and play a 1-5-8 exacta box.

(8) Collect a Lil is another firster who should be considered a threat. (9) Tinkatwo finds a good spot for her debut. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6-8-9.
3rd race – (4) Pink Party Pants takes a big class drop but looks best here. (8) Avatal Hero also looks dangerous at this level. (3) St. Joe Jet could be tough to catch in this field. (1) Jazzy Jas might make some noise in her debut. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-8.

Looking at today's class rating, this racer is encountering an easier group than last time out at Gulfstream Park. I believe this thoroughbred will be right there at the wire. Gets Lasix for the second time, so Sano must have confidence in her. HIHELLOHOWAREYOU - Filly has shown some speed. This shorter trip should be better for her. This jockey and conditioner have a high winning percentage together. That recent bullet 47.8 work shows that this filly is ready for a top performance today. Going on Lasix for the first time. While a typical handicapping angle, it's still quite important to know.

My choice in this race is MIDNIGHT WARSHIP. Could provide positive returns based on very good recent speed figs with an average of 77. Will probably be one of the early speedsters of the group going into the halfway point of the race. With a solid 83 speed figure last time out, will unquestionably be a factor in this contest. DOUGS MORNING PICK - Should expect a strong effort with the class drop. He has quite good class ratings, averaging 79, and has to be carefully examined for this event. NEBULOSA - When a handler brings any pony back this quickly it is a positive signal. Has raced solidly in dirt sprint races.

EPIC QUEEN - Early zip is always important in horse racing, but the lone speed horse is always dangerous. PARISIAN VIBE - A win percentage like 30 is terrific for any rider/handler duo. Ferrer comes to ride after getting to know the filly in the last race. Sacco has an 'uncoupled' entry here. Best to watch out for the longer priced half. ALEXA'S DREAM - This filly is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprinters that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. Have to like this filly today. If you take a look at her PP lines you see a definite pattern, getting closer with each and every race. Have to give this filly a fair chance. Ran a sharp effort last time around the track within the last month.

HAPPY RIDE - Usually I need a sprinter to have some recent success in sprint affairs in order to back her.

Georgia has the ability to put up big point totals but they have their work cut out for them here when it comes to getting things down offensively against Tennessee. The Volunteers are extremely stingy on the defensive end of the floor, allowing more than 65 points just once in their last eight games entering this one. Tennessee has very good depth in their rotation as they have five guys averaging in double figures this season, so it could be any one of a handful of guys that could go for 20-plus points on any given night. The Red Raiders are still winless in the BIG12, and they are coming off a double digit loss at Kansas State. As bad as that sounds, lets dig a little deeper. They actually opened up an early lead in Manhattan, and held it until halfway through the second half. The final score was a little misleading in their last game. Have a look at their schedule and we can see a two-point loss at Texas, and a three-point home loss to Kansas. A home game against a 1-7 West Virginia team that is far better at home than they are on the road appears to be a good spot for the Red Raiders to get their first conference win. The Mountaineers are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall, and they are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a loss.

South Florida is an underrated point spread team covering 69 percent of its last 16 games. But my main handicapping factor is fading Temple off its shocking and great victory over then top-ranked Houston this past Sunday. The Owls were 20-point road underdogs to the Cougars.
Temple averages 68.6 points, which ranks 258th. The Owls are among the 40-worst Division I teams in field goal percentage and 3-point shooting percentage. So it's asking a lot for them to cover a mid-size number in an obvious letdown spot and given their offensive shortcomings.
South Florida has proven profitable on the road going 36-17-1 (68 percent) ATS during its last 54 away games.
This has been an underdog series lately with the 'dog covering four of the last five times.

This is a play on the TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS for our Wednesday Free Play. It has been a disappointing start in the Big 12 for Texas Tech as it is now 0-7 after a 10-2 start in nonconference action. The Red Raiders opened with three straight losses that were decided in the final minute including games against TCU and Kansas and more recently, they lost by two points at Texas so they have been close. They are 8-3 at home after opening 8-0 and the three Big 12 losses were by a combined 15 points, two against Baylor and Kansas and the other against Oklahoma in overtime. Time to get into the win column. West Virginia has not been much better as following a home loss to Texas on Saturday, it fell to 1-6 in the conference after an identical 10-2 nonconference start like Texas Tech. The one victory was a very good one against TCU at home and the Mountaineers hit the road where they are 1-4 with the lone win coming at Pittsburgh in the second game of the season. The typical Bob Huggins defense has not been on display this season as West Virginia is No. 226 in opponents field goal percentage and No. 176 in points allowed and faces a pretty potent offense tonight against a very desperate team. The Houston Rockets are rested and ready to go tonight playing just their 3rd game in 7 days. They are coming off a 119-114 upset home win over the Minnesota Timberwolves as 5.5-point dogs, and I expect them to upset the Washington Wizards tonight.
I cashed in the Wizards +7.5 last night in a 127-126 upset win at Dallas. But now I'm fading them tonight playing the 2nd of a back-to-back and in a letdown spot following that big road victory. Five players played at least 30 minutes for the Wizards last night in the win, and they won't have a lot left in the tank for the Rockets tonight.
Washington is 8-20-1 ATS in its last 29 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. Houston is 5-0 ATS in its last five home meetings with the Wizards. Bet the Rockets Wednesday.

PLAY ON MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES +3: Even though the Pelicans have lost 5 straight and continue to play without both Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, the betting public is going to be more inclined to back them as a small home favorite than grab a short number on the road with the Timberwolves.
It feels to me that the books are really begging for you to play New Orleans. I can see why. This is not a good spot for Pelicans at all. NO will be in the 2nd of a back-to-back after a gut-wrenching 98-99 loss at home to the Nuggets last night. Pelicans put together a huge 2nd half rally after trailing by double-digits at the half only to come up short. Those are the kind of losses that are really tough to bounce back from, especially on no rest.
As for the Timberwolves, this is a team that has completely fallen out of favor after opening the year as a team a lot of people like to contend in the west. Key here, Minnesota has been playing better of late. They are 8-5 SU over their last 13 games with 3 of the 4 losses coming by 5 or fewer points. Timberwolves have also gone 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games listed as an underdog. Give me Minnesota +3!

Wednesday's Free NCAAB Pick is on the Minnesota Golden Gophers as a massive 10-point home underdog against the Indiana Hoosiers. I know the Gophers aren't any good and easily the worst team in the Big Ten, but no way I'm passing up on the chance to fade Indiana laying double-digits on the road. This has flat spot written all over it for the Hoosiers, who come in off 3 straight double-digit wins, beating Wisconsin by 18 at home, winning by 15 at Illinois and beating Michigan State last time out by 13 at home.
My big concern with Indiana is their lack of production from anyone not named Trayce Jackson-Davis. He's coming off back-to-back 30+ point efforts, scoring 35 vs Illinois and 31 against Michigan State.
One of the big reasons I like the Gophers in this spot, is I think they can make it tough on Jackson-Davis inside. Minnesota is 49th in the country in 2P% defense and 104th in block%. Indiana is not a great shooting team on the road, especially in comparison to at home. Hoosiers are just 3-5 SU and 2-5-1 ATS in road games this season. I like the Gophers to give them a scare. Bet Minnesota +10!
