Going to Fade LaSalle who is coming off 3 straight Wins all as Underdogs and returns home to find themselves in the role of a favorite. I like to buck a mediocre team after a few wins and then they suddenly find themselves installed as a favorite. Our 25* NCAA-B Big West Game of the Year is with Long Beach State minus the points versus Cal State Bakersfield at 10 pm et. Long Beach State was on a six-game winning streak before losing a close one at home to UC Santa Barbara, 75-72, as a one-point underdog on Thursday. It was a heartbreaking loss for head coach Dan Monsoon’s team as they never trailed by more than four points in the entire game, and they had the lead with under a minute to go. The Beach should respond with a good effort tonight as they have covered the point spread in four of their last five games after losing their previous game. Monsoon typically has his group playing at their best at this point of the season as Long Beach State has covered the point spread in nine of their last eleven games in February. They have covered the point spread in ten of their last sixteen games after losing to a conference opponent in their previous game including three of those four opportunities this season. The Beach hits the road again where they are 7-7 this season with losses at USC and UCLA. They have a 4-2 record on the road in conference play. Monsoon has his team playing at a frenetic pace, as they rank second in the country by averaging only 15.2 points per possession. They are one of the best rebounding teams in the nation as they rank fifteenth in the nation by rebounding 35.8% of their missed shots.
