MY TICKET - I think this gelding is ready to run a good one. He's had enough outings since the vacation and should be fit. The addition of the 'shades' should keep his mind on business today. SOMETHING ON TAP - I'm anticipating this mount to run a big race this time. AGNELLO CITY - Skerrett brings him right back. I suggest you stick with this hot gelding. Just look at his recent rating, 30. That one fits in this bunch. This gelding is certainly on the improve with speed figs of 15, 22, 30 last 3 out.

I'LL FINISH - Forgive the out of the money finish on the off track in the last race. On a fast track, has a shot in this race. RECKLESS AFFAIR - A win percentage like 31 is terrific for any jock/trainer twosome. ELUSIVE MOTION - The ROI when Barrios and Demczyk team up is fantastic. This racer coming off a strong race in the last month or so is a strong challenger in my opinion.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 LONE LEADER (ML=9/5), #6 CANT GLIDE BY KATZ (ML=2/1), #1 WHISKEY SUNRISE (ML=8/1),

LONE LEADER - I don't normally play a morning-line choice that hasn't been to the track in the last two to three weeks. CANT GLIDE BY KATZ - When examining today's class figure, he will have to register a much better speed rating than last time around the track to be competitive in this dirt sprint. WHISKEY SUNRISE - Mountaineer Park isn't cozy quarters to this horse. Tough to put any dough on this gelding on the win end. Likes to finish in the money though. Finished second in his most recent effort with a most unsatisfactory speed figure. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this field.

LA is going to be highly motivated for this one. They have not forgot about getting swept by Denver in the playoffs. People forget how close that series was because it ended 4-0. Demko had a rough 2022-23 season, going 14-14-4 with a 3.16 GAA and a .901 SV%. But now, in this new season, he's doing better. He's had some good games lately. Demko made 31 saves in a 4-3 loss to the Lightning on Thursday. And just before that, he stopped 40 shots in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Flyers.

In the recent game, Saros did well by blocking 31 out of 32 shots, securing a 5-1 W against San Jose on Saturday. Unfortunately, his hopes for a shutout were dashed in the 3rd. But overall, it was a strong performance, following his 23-save game in Nashville's 4-1 W over the Rangers on Thursday.

We’re on the under here as the Predators and Canucks should play to a lower scoring affair.

These two teams play an identical style, which should cause this game to be a slower played game.

Saros and Demko have both looked really dominant at times this season and not allowed many rebound chances, which has been key to their success.

Look for scoring chances to be a premium here and for this to be played with possession in mind both sides.

A trend to note, the total has gone UNDER in 4 of Vancouver's last 6 games against opponents in the Central. Head to head in their L3 matchups the Preds own a 2-0-1 advantage. This year the Preds are 2-1 at home, while the Nucks are 2-2 on the road.

Back the UNDER tonight in Nashville. Expect the goaltending to stake center stage.

The Suns made a big splash in the offseason, acquiring Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal and solidifying their place as championship contenders. I prefer to back the more cohesive unit right out of the gates, however, and that should be the Warriors on Tuesday night. Note that Golden State checks in 15-4 ATS in its last 19 games as a home favorite of six points or less and has reeled off eight straight ATS wins when playing at home with the line set between +3 and -3. Having snapped a four-game losing streak in this series in the two teams' most recent meeting in March, I look for the Warriors to once again hold serve at home on Tuesday night. Take Golden State.
