I think KANCANCUTIE is a very good pick especially at a such a nice price. Has been racing admirably and has among the strongest speed in the race for today's distance. Has been racing in the most competitive company of the group recently. Overall the speed figures of this animal look very good in this contest. SHE'SMYSMOKESHOW - Should come out sharp - I have liked the way this filly has moved sharply to the front end recently. Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Wilson have shown solid results recently. JUST A WIN - Has to be carefully examined - I like the numbers from the last contest.

BECKON - Look at this mare's PP lines. With each race she keeps getting closer. Synnefias drops her down to this class. You don't need too much more handicapping data to believe this horse has a good chance at this level. If this thoroughbred repeats any of her last 3 efforts, she'll have a great shot to win right here in this race. Synnefias enters this animal in a spot where she should fit well based on her last 2 Equibase speed figs. This mare's last speed fig garnered on October 17th is at the top in last race speed ratings. ALWAJD - Aboard this horse on October 26th and Hernandez is back again in the irons today.
Vulnerable Contenders: #4 JUSTIN TIME (ML=4/1), #5 TEACHER DRAMA (ML=6/1), #7 MERCY MERCY (ML=8/1),
JUSTIN TIME - Should be difficult for this animal to beat this bunch off of that last speed rating. TEACHER DRAMA - Tough to play any mount to turn things around if there is no large gain to taking the chance. Notched a substandard speed fig last race out in a $6,250 Claiming race on September 8th. Doubtful to see an improved performance off of that rating. MERCY MERCY - Doubtful that the rating she earned on Oct 30th will be enough in this affair.

CAPT. CANDY is my choice and is a very good value-based wager given the 12/1 line. He has been running soundly as of late while recording very strong speed figures. Will most likely come out strong - I have liked the way this gelding has moved quickly to the lead recently. Looks to have a respectable class edge based on the recent company kept. YOUNG SQUIRE - Nunez will most likely be able to get this gelding to break out sharply for this event. Must be given a chance for this event if only for the quite good speed figure earned in the last contest. DEPOLI - Ought to be carefully examined - I like the figures from the last race. No strangers to the winner's circle, Coledavis and Trejos will probably have this gelding breaking away from the field.

J. WICK - This pace horse could take the lead quickly. My guess is he'll take a shot at bolting out of the gate, and never looking back. Have to like the way Brown has raced this gelding back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. Ranks at the top in earnings per start. A powerful performance today can increase the lifetime bankroll.

LAST PARTY - This less than sharp equine hasn't been on the track since Sep 30th. Not even any works. Multiple attempts for this runner at Charles Town and still hasn't received his first victory here. Recorded a mediocre speed rating in the last race in a $7,500 Maiden Claiming race on September 30th. Not likely to see an improved performance off of that figure. DOG TOWN ALLEN - Mediocre speed fig in the last race at Charles Town at 4 1/2 furlongs. Don't believe this runner will improve too much today.

Players ought to take a good look at this one as this filly has one of the best win percentages at this distance in this group. Will most likely come out solid - I have liked the way this filly has moved sharply to the lead recently. BREAKUP WITH TITOS - This trainer has the most competitive return on investment in this group with entries running at this distance and surface. LEXI SUN - Is hard not to consider given the company run in lately. Has raced solidly in dirt sprint races.

My pick in this race is BECKON. She has been moving solidly recently while recording strong Equibase Speed Figures. The winning percentage shown by horses entered by Synnefias running at this distance are the most competitive in this group. Should come out strong - I have liked the way this mare has moved swiftly to the front end recently. ALWAJD - Conditioner has sharp win rate (16 percent) at this distance and surface. I would give the nod to this filly on the jock and conditioner numbers alone. MIKEY'S JEWEL - Could provide positive profits based on very strong recent speed figures with an average of 51.

YOU'RE MY BOY BLUE - When this rider and handler partner up you have to take a look. Salazarbecerra and Morales have been fabulous together. This gelding won at this distance on May 23rd and was at a higher class than today. This racer should go right out to the early lead and may never look back. Could wire the field. Ranked number 1 in earnings per race. Another notice that this horse outclasses this field. KARAMEL CORN - This gelding is in first-rate physical condition right now. Ran second last time out and comes back rapidly. I like the piece of information that this gelding's last speed figure, 66, is tops in this group.
Vulnerable Contenders: #5 HONOR THE D (ML=5/2), #1 SERENDIPITOUS (ML=9/2), #6 ATTACK ANGLE (ML=5/1),
HONOR THE D - I don't normally play a probable favorite that hasn't been to the track in the last few weeks. SERENDIPITOUS - In the last affair this less than sharp equine finished fifth. Doesn't bode well for his chances this time out. Finished fifth in his most recent performance with a run-of-the-mill speed rating. When I look at today's Equibase class figure, it would take an improved performance to prove victorious after that in this bunch. ATTACK ANGLE - This horse just hasn't looked ready of late.

ARDEN'S ASSAULT - I have to like this filly's likelihood of winning at the shorter trip. The jockey and handler combination have a beneficial ROI when they join forces. I like when a horse wins after shipping in from elsewhere. It shows that they really like the track here. I'll take this filly to win again. MUSIC FESTIVAL - This filly has been trying different distances, but from the looks of things, she ran a nice figure last try at this trip. Was in a $40,000 Optional Claiming race at Horseshoe Indianapolis last out. That event had a class figure of 96 and she is moving down right here. A certain contender. A repeat of that latest performance on Oct 17th where she earned a speed figure of 77 looks good enough to win in this event. I usually like playing sprinters who are 3-4 races into a return. PROMISE OF HOPE - Amoss adds Lasix for the 2nd time today. This should help right here.

#2 Sbagliatio I worry he's going to be overbet for the same reason I've got him on top -- he has never run a bad one and comes back fresh after the February run in which he was second to a future Grade II winner. Think this is his to lose.
#4 Safe Trip Home Might be a top-heavy race on the tote with these two, but I think one of these logical players will land it. This one goes second off the layoff after a decent Keeneland comeback, and he might still have some upside.
#6 Gatlinburg He has shown a little versatility in his running style, but I think he can probably try to utilize his pace with these while meeting a bunch who want to settle and finish a bit.
Race Summary Sbagliato was last seen behind American Turf champ Webslinger in a Gulfstream allowance, and it feels like something similar to that effort would probably put him right in the frame with these if he is ready to roll off the bench. Feeling optimistic.
Churchill Downs - Race #9

#7 Icy Stare Down You could probably convince me that her form is just heading in the wrong direction, but there are a lot of races on her page that would make her tough in here, and even something like the two-back local run might be enough with these.
#8 Forever Home She has been landing underneath shares at a variety of class levels in this general vicinity, and she figures to be in a good spot turning for home -- from there it's whether she can punch on, which is not always a sure thing.
#10 Lunar Ice The recent Presque Isle form fits well enough here, and she has run well enough on the dirt in the past to think she might transfer some similar lines here. Late runner has some appeal but might not get the setup.
Race Summary Icy Stare Down might be worth a look on the track ahead of this, but she hasn't been in this easy and turned in a local work since the Keeneland clunker for almost three times this price.
Churchill Downs - Race #5
PICKS NOTES
#7 As One Does The form is all over the place, but I like that he moved forward off the flat Kentucky Downs comeback, and the longer trip might allow his kind of one-paced style to prove more effective.
#6 Utah Beach Think he's supposed to be tough in here off a couple runner-up finishes behind runaway winners, and there's a real chance he makes short work of these at a modest price.
#3 Sagittarius He showed some positional pace in the debut run and has a claim on this with any reasonable upside in the second career start. Obvious player.
Race Summary As One Does might have another move forward in him while stretching to nine furlongs, and I think it's pretty easy to provide him excuses for the three bad races on his page -- two running fresh at Kentucky Downs and the other at Del Mar last year before he went to the sidelines. Wonder if we're going to see what he's really made of today?

The Phoenix Suns just aren't a team I trust without their best player in Devin Booker. There is a chance Bradley Beal makes his Phoenix debut tonight, but even if he does he'll be on a minutes restriction and won't be that effective. I'll gladly fade the Suns here against a fully healthy Chicago Bulls team coming off one of their most complete performances of the season.
The Bulls ended a three-game skid with a 130-113 home win over the Utah Jazz last time out. They had tough road games at Denver and at Dallas prior to that, plus a 2-point home loss to the upstart Nets, who have covered every game this season and are undervalued.
The Suns had lost three straight prior to beating the short-handed Pistons on the road last time out. They lost by 12 at Philadelphia and to the San Antonio Spurs twice, including an 11-point home loss in the 2nd meeting when you would have expected them to want to avenge that first loss. The Spurs went on to lose at home to the Raptors and by 41 at Indiana.
Phoenix is 5-20 ATS in its last 25 road games after going over the total in its previous game. Chicago is 36-21 ATS in its last 57 games as a home favorite. Frank Vogel is 12-26 ATS in road games following a road win by 10 points or more as a head coach. Bet the Bulls Wednesday.

This line is screaming for you to take LA with them at basically a pick'em against a Houston team that many see as one of the league's worst. Rockets are not a playoff team, but I do feel they are improved. They come in having won and covered 3 straight, winning each of their last 2 games as an identical 2.5-point dog. Lakers could be without AD in this one and are missing some other key pieces. LA is also 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS on the road this season. Give me the Rockets +2.5!

Las Vegas comes in off its first regulation loss of the season though on the road vs. the Ducks, and we think Las Vegas will now respond here at home. These teams don't like each other. Las Vegas won't be taking anything for granted here after that loss, and at this price at home, we definitely feel the defending champs are worthy of a "second look" here on Wednesday night!

Wednesday NBA Free play. My selection is on Sacramento minus the points over Portland at 10:10 pm et on Wednesday.
De'Aaron Fox won't make his return to the Kings lineup on Wednesday and that has most bettors 'out' on Sacramento as it tries to snap its three-game losing streak at home against the upstart Blazers. Portland is off to a 3-4 start, most recently seeing its three-game winning streak grind to a halt in the back half of a two-game set against Memphis on Sunday. I still don't think the Blazers are very good. They've topped out at 111 points in a game this season and have been held to fewer than 100 points on three different occasions already. The Kings looked awful during their two-game stop in Houston but are well-positioned to get back on track with this three-game homestand. Note that Sacramento has taken the last three meetings between these two teams and all three were no contest with the Kings winning by 17, 40 and 24 points. Note that the Kings are 18-7 ATS when coming off three straight losses over the last three seasons and 13-1 ATS when dropping back-to-back games ATS over the last two campaigns. Take Sacramento.
