THAT'S MY MAMA seems to be the wager in here. Has been running quite well and has among the top speed in the race for today's distance. Should be carefully examined based on the very good Equibase Speed Figure garnered in the last contest. A solid 76 avg class rating may give this filly a distinct class edge versus this field. PICKIN ANA GRINNIN - Always good to invest in a trainer with this kind of very good win percentage - 19 percent - at this distance & surface. Should come out strong - I have liked the way this filly has moved speedily to the lead recently.

POLISHED GEM - The jockey and trainer combination have a positive return on investment when they join forces. Have to give this mare a good shot. Ran a good effort in the last race within the last month. This animal has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 25 to 43 to 60 in succession. I believe this horse isn't a natural sprinter. Routing is her best game and those last two sprints should have her set for a big run today. GRAN CHEMIN - Last out, this one was in a race at Turfway Park in a race with an Equibase class figure of 86. Dropping considerably in class figure this time around puts her in a solid position in this field. I just may give this one a shot. Should improve off last race where she did run out of the money, but was within five lengths at the finish line. GIRLINTHEFIREPLACE - Really have to believe this horse is going to be right there near the finish line.

That last fig was mediocre when compared with today's class rating. SWEEPINJUSTICE - This was a live animal, but now this one hasn't been doing anything in the morning. Have to be leery of this horse.

BINGO WAS HIS NAME - Today's race is 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't finished in the money in a sprint race in the last couple months. Not the greatest of indicators. I normally try to beat this kind of chalk. Extended vacation and no drop in level of competition. INDIO MARA - When checking today's class figure, he will have to record a much better rating than last time around the track to compete in this dirt sprint. YOU BACK - Doesn't appear to have enough positive qualities to warrant the price.

I favor CAPE HEDGE here. Trejos has one of the most favorable jock ROI's on the grounds, returning to risk takers +3 percent. Had one of the top speed figures of this group of horses in his last contest. Win percentage under similar conditions may be the key for this gelding. HIGHWAY BOUND - This gelding has some longshot handicapping angles I like to play. The average class rating alone makes this one a key contender. WENTZ - Has respectable Equibase Speed Figures and has to be considered for a wager for this event. He looks competitive in this slot and I expect will be on the lead or close at the halfway point.

POBLANO - Utilizing this jockey/conditioner combination is a good choice. This filly has been posting some excellent workout times. I like this filly. Has the topmost earnings per race in this contest. MADEMOISELLEJACKIE - This race horse should be motoring down the stretch. AROUND THE SUN - When this rider and handler join forces you have to take a look. Hernandez and Arnold have been wonderful together. A repeat of that most recent race on October 18th where she notched a fig of 92 looks high enough to win in this event. For my money, a bullet workout is the best indicator of fitness there is. Look at that last one - 48.6. Very impressive. HURRY UP HANNAH - This filly was sharp enough to post a 'top two' workout recently. I think she's ready for today's event.

Vulnerable Contenders: #11 LAMASCO (ML=5/1), #5 ICICLES (ML=6/1), #2 ST. BENEDICTS PREP (ML=8/1),

LAMASCO - Not normally the kind of horse one plays off of any type of very long layoff. When looking at today's class figure, she will have to earn a much better speed figure than last race out to compete in this dirt route. ICICLES - Hard to put your money on this speedball. Too much speed in the event. Notched a quite unimpressive speed fig in the last race in a Maiden Special race on November 16th. Not probable to see an improved performance off of that figure. ST. BENEDICTS PREP - This was a live one, but now this one hasn't been doing anything in the morning. Have to be a little leery of this animal.

DON DOMINGO N has a nice shot to take this race. This gathering could be controlled by this gelding. A single look at the avgerage TrackMaster SR will prove that. A really good class horse cannot be forgotten. With an avg class stat of 90 all signs say this is the one to beat. Really liked this gelding's last race. Ran a solid 82 speed rating. Major contender. OURRHYTHMNBLUES N - Have to make Brennan the wager here if only for the last thirty days win pct. Big likelihood for the victory. Tritton knows this nice horse well. Outstanding in the money results when starting together. TEAM MAC - Excellent in the money clip for Stratton and this harness racer. A very good probability to get the win. Pace makes the race is a favorite saying of this knowledge group. Pace figures here point to a sharp play.

Now the Bulls are once again catching too many points at home tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers have had a massive letdown since winning the in-season tournament as they simply have been lacking motivation. They are 1-3 SU & 0-4 ATS in their four games since the tournament with their lone win coming by 3 points at San Antonio. They were also upset by 14 at San Antonio as 6.5-point favorites, upset by the Knicks at home as 5-point favorites and upset by the Mavericks as 2.5-point favorites.

Chicago is 24-11 ATS in its last 35 games off an upset win as an underdog. Bet the Bulls Wednesday.

Wednesday CBB Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Alabama and Arizona at 11 pm et on Wednesday.

While this game certainly has 'track meet' potential, I simply feel the lofty total will prove too high. Alabama checks in off consecutive losses. Of course, those defeats came against two of the best teams in the nation in Purdue and Creighton. The Crimson Tide's issues lie at the defensive end of the floor and that's where you have to figure they'll look to turn things around on Wednesday. Arizona checks in off a loss of its own against Purdue. The Wildcats matador-like defense didn't cut it against the Boilermakers and it won't against the Crimson Tide either. We know the Wildcats can perform better at that end of the floor as they've held Duke to 73 points, Michigan State to 68 points and Wisconsin to 73 points this season. In order to topple a total this high, both teams need to go off offensively. I just don't see it happening here. Take the under.
