Ken Shamrock (Pictures) will be the fourth man to face Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson (Pictures) when the two icons clash at EliteXC’s third installment of “Saturday Night Fights” Oct. 4 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla. The headlining bout will anchor a live broadcast on CBS.

Sherdog.com confirmed the bout’s signing with multiple parties aware of the fight, while a press release is expected to circulate later today with the news.

The 44-year-old Shamrock (26-13-2) beat out fellow candidates Sean Gannon and Brett Rogers (Pictures), who called out Slice in May, for the coveted slot.

Shamrock has lost like 5 fights in a row, but he is still a stiff challenge for Kimbo. If Shamrock doesnt act stupid and try to stand like he did against Buzz Berry in his last fight, he will either wear Kimbo out and win or win via submission.

I think Kimbo destroys Shamrock

Shamrock is too old and hasnt had a decent fight since the Don Frye fight ,and that was in 2002

After the fight with his brother Frank fell through this was the best chance Ken had for one last good pay day.

I wouldnt be suprised if the line didnt come out at -500 or higher

Line is up for this one.

Kevin 'Kimbo Slice' Fergusson -575
Ken Shamrock +375

Ill be on Shamrock.

I figured it would be -500 or higher. The value is in Shamrock for sure.No way I'm laying -575 on Kimbo after
his last fight but I also wont lay money on Shamrock after his last fight against Buzz Berry

Nah I'm not playing it just watching. I'm not playing anything tonight. I think I'm going to only bet during the week and Sunday nights until I get my head out of the water . I'm tired of wasting my weekends only to lose. Once I get off this losing streak I start betting the weekends again.

I bet I have lost 2k in the last 2 and a half weeks . Thats losing money way to fast.

If you really want to win that Shamrock bet I thought money on Kimbo. ::lmao:: You're sure to win if I on the other side.

I can just here it "Mr. Loser strikes again" ::lmao::

IM hearing that this fight may be cancelled due to a cut Shamrock got today.

What a disaster for EliteXC if this is true.

"We have just gotten word that the commission doctor just ruled Ken Shamrock unable to compete in tonight's main event. Ken Shamrock had a previous cut opened over his eye when training last night with Dan Freeman, a long-time training partner (his bodybuilder assistant coach in Ultimate Fighter) and Freeman accidentally head-butted him.

It has gone back and forth all day, with Shamrock in and out now three different times during the day. Elite XC sources have just announced Shamrock was not medically cleared to compete. There is no answer as to what will happen in the main event."

Bad luck for XC. They will probably lose the CBS Contract now. Once the announcers tell us the Kimbo/Shamrock fight is off, everybody is gonna switch to the football game and kill the ratings.

I was at Flanagan's here in town and a guy was there that used to play football for our local NAIA team (St. Francis). His name is Mike Wessell, he is now a Elite XC heavyweight and I was told he is ranked in the top 100.

Anyway, when they announce Shamrock out he promptly said that that dude would take care of business in less than 30 seconds.

I had sent Zak a text earlier and had no response so I figured his phone was still f'd up to give him some info. Wessell was pretty cool (really hot redhead GF about to be in Playboy), I told him that if there was a time that he could not make it back to visit family to feel free to send her in his place.

Everything is pretty much a blur after that, I cannot believe that 2005 is about to come to an end. Wow time really flies these days.

Things seemed fishy when Kimbo was -450 against Shamrock but was only-300 against someone know has ever heard of
