Roger "El Matador" Huerta vs. War Machine

Rd 1: This is War Machine's first bout post his stint in jail. Huerta coming off a Bellator loss to recently dethroned Eddie Alveraz. Their talk of Roger Huerta drinking cobra blood reminds me of Huerta's interview right here on MMA Insight, each Monday at 9pm, that took place earlier this week. Back to Huerta's record, he's only 1 - 2 since leaving the UFC, he jumps right back on the horse after his lost to Alveraz. Let's see who's conditioning is up to the task. Leg kick lands for Huerta as he Thayne tries to hold off the double leg. WM pulls him to the ground and Roger has the butterfly guard to try and back him off. Roger able to stand as he has a high single. Finally released and WM looks much bigger than Roger. Knees galore for Roger, but a leg trip lands WM in side control. WM sneaks in an elbow as crowd chants for Roger. He traps and arm...but just for a moment. He's got his arm again and looking to do damage on Roger with the left elbow. Hip escape by Roger and he goes for a single. WM goes for a single of his own and now Roger tries to pour it on with kicks to the body. He drops levels and gets the double leg. They stand and WM tosses Roger to the ground, but he's quickly back up. Round ends, very active.
Rd 1: 10 - 9 WM

Rd 2: Big shot by Roger and he's dropped. Roger rushes in but WM jumps up and now Roger has him on the fence. He sucks the legs out and now WM trying to stand. Roger picks a leg and down goes WM. Cardio will surely be a factor in the third. WM steps up an now has Roger on the cage. Now WM shoots and takes down Roger. He battles and easily hops out of half guard to side control. Look for more elbows here. Roger slips out but WM all over him and pulls him back to the ground. He looks to pin the arm down but Roger uses the fence to flip into full guard. He rains down punches and short elbows. He may have stolen the round. He stands and lands three more punches before jumping back into his guard. WM trying to stand, but Roger punishes him with punches as he does. 10 seconds left, round ends.
Rd 2: 10 - 9 Roger

Rd 3: Roger takes him down to start, WM gets up very quickly and they split.l Right hand lands for WM, he goes for a takedown but Roger defends on the cage. Roger reverses and lands a right. WM clinches and Roger drives him to the cage for a high single. WM goes for a standing guillotine!!! Pulls him to the ground! NOOOO. Roger rolls out of it into side to control. Some how WM rolls, has his back, now the mount. A FLURRY OF PUNCHES! Ref looking in. He stops the fight. Roger holding his ribs. Must have tweaked something or had a borken ribs at some point but could no longer hold out. WOW.
