A bit of the angle distorts his arm in that picture, I think, but make no mistake, Lorenzo Fertitta has goddamn gigantic guns.

I'm a sucker for QT movies so I'm sure I will love Django. Pulp Fiction is better than Inglorious Basterds, for me, but I'm not exactly sure why. Those are his best 2 movies, for sure though.

I just got done watching Fightville. It's actually pretty interesting. It gives some good insight into the realities of local fight promotions and also follows Dustin Poirier during the last phase of his career before he gets called up to the UFC.

If you get a chance to check it out, it's pretty good.

I have ranked them before, but just don't think I can do it now. Can I really say that Pulp Fiction is better than Inglorious Basterds or vice versa? Or that Django is better than Jackie Brown? Not really.

we actually ranked the QT movies a while back in this very thread. Maybe it was 2011. Fuck, I can't believe I have been wasting time on this board for over 3 years. Fuck you guys.

The only QT movie that I don't really care for is Reservoir Dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if I never watch it again for the rest of my life. But even there, I recognize it as a well-made and original movie.

Everything else is awesome. I'd like to try to rank them, but I'm not even sure how to do that. They are all great.

Life of Pi was interesting, but I think trying a little to hard to be philosophical, it came off as your typical disney homogenized please everyone philosophy to me- and it was very in your face with the point it made. I like art for art's sake, I don't like when a "point" it being shoved at me so obviously. The effects were fantastic though and the movie was pretty great to look at. That just really isn't my thing, I really don't get into effects all that much.

As for Lawless, I enjoyed it, but to me it was just another movie, nothing special.

I do want to see Django Unchained. I have come to appreciate QT more as time passes just for the fact that he is making movies that no one else is making. At least you know you are going to get something a little different from the standard Hollywood fare. His movies seem to get better with age too.

I went to see Django Unchained yesterday. Fucking awesome! If you were intrigued by the trailer, you should like it. If you weren't, then you probably won't. It's not QT's best film, but I'd give it a solid 8 or even 8.5. It's funny . . . it also has some good action . . . and Jamie Foxx is perfect the role of Django. DiCaprio and Waltz are also perfect.

If I have complaints, I'd say it's a little long. They maybe could've cut out 20 or 30 minutes and ended up with a stronger film. And on a related note, there editing seems a little off at times.

But all in all, a great movie.
