    Man, that sucks.

That's actually the biggest reason that I haven't bought another motorcycle. I had a few close calls back in the day and don't want to end up paralyzed.

I guess at least he is only paralyzed from the waist down. Could be worse.

I guess to that, I'll add this article I saw on Yahoo. I didn't know who this guy was, but the article was interesting.

Yeah, was a bad weekend for boxing. Tapia was a good guy,he just had a rough life. Williams seemed to be a good guy also. Williams had just signed for a big fight also.
I was also thinking of having my dad teach me to ride a motorcycle this summer since he has three Harleys but after hearing this I've kind of lost that motivation again.

Fuck motorcylces. An extremely high percentage of guys who ride them get really fucked up.

Motorcycles are extremelly dangerous. I owned 4 of them and sold them all. A big percentage of my riding buddys were injured real bad, some of them dead. IMO, riding motorcycle is even more dangerous nowadays with cell phones, because people are texting and talking on the phone while driving. While they are texting on their phone, they are not looking up front, their change line without even noticing it, which becomes really dangerous for motocycles.

My old man used to be a hardcore biker, he is all fucked up from getting hit/falling off them. I never really had a taste for them, but he still rides after all these years.

Actually when you want your driver's license for motorcycle you have to go for courses. THis is the first thing that they tell you when you get in the class. There is 2 different type of people in the motorcycle world: The people who already fell, and the ones that haven't fell yet. So that every rider is gonna fall someday, there is pretty much no exception.

I used to have a Kawasaki Ninja. Bought it when I was 19. Someone hit my '86 300ZX and their insurance company totaled it out and gave me $2400. That motorcycle was my only vehicle for almost a year. I rode it whether rain or shine. But there a few times involving potholes, cars and an ill-fated attempt and popping a wheelie that were pretty scary. I'm not saying I'll never buy another one, because I do think about it sometimes, but they're definitely dangerous and there's pretty much no such thing as a fender bender when it comes to a motorcycle.

I wouldn't be too nervous about riding... but to me it is one of those things that seems like it would be a lot more fun that it actually is. The upside is gas mileage.
