Ill take rockhold in that one more or less. Costa is no bitch. That said. Cormier has looked good but Mir is pretty damned good himself and he has outsrtruck strikers better than average and tapped out bjj specialists better than average so watch out.

Cormier will beat Mir. He is a better boxer imo and has great power. He is amazing in the clinch and I can see him working with Mir up against the fence and really tiring Mir out (based on past fights that go longer than 2 minutes..Mir does not have the best cardio). I do not see Cormier actually taking Mir down and working in his guard or anything, but I think he makes it an ugly fight and will take it to Mir. -400 is a pretty steep line to bet straight so I will probably throw him in a parlay with Bendo.

Costa's really solid but I think Rockhold would shut him down on the feet or on the ground. I'd probably take Rock up to -350.

Yeah, Rockhold is the more diverse striker and won't stand in front of Costa and get boxed up. I am not sure how good Rockhold's takedowns are...Costas is pretty solid. However, I bet a good amount on him against Tim Boetsch and I thought after halfway in round 1 that Costa was not going to win that fight (luckily Boetsch basically got hit by a bus in the middle of the fight causing him to get his ass kicked). His TDD wasn't that great (but then again Boetsch is a big, powerful wrestler) so I am not sure if I can use that fight as a gauge for the Rockhold fight. Even if it stays standing I think Rockhold will be the more active striker and will edge out a decision.

Yeah, I THINK that Rockhold can probably get him down. I remember Rock making JT$ look like a damned fool in the wrestling department and he was also almost always on the better end of the grappling exchanges with Kennedy. I think Costa will make him work for it, but if Rockhold wants him on the ground I think he can get him there.

But like you say, even if the fight stays on the feet I think Rock will still win simply by being the better, more dynamic striker.

Rockhold has the option of trying to take it to the floor. I don't think Costa really does. I agree that Rockhold has the more diverse standup and can probably win there.
