2013 IWS Contest Thread

So isn't it about time we got a new contest going?

Who's interested? What does everyone want the rules/format to be? What organizations should we include (there's no SF now so should we include Bellator?). How many events? Who wants to run it?

I'd say let's get this shit together so we can make the MM/Dodson event the first one.

I really liked the one Svino came up with last year using the non juiced percentages for a maximum of 1u gain.

I can't say I really remember Svino's idea.

Personally I'm fine with the format we used for the first contest . . . even though I can't remember all the specifics.

Is anyone even interested or is it just me and Ludo?

I am interested but I just like basic picks and shit. Svino's was fine though I don't care, I am an addict. The original one was having a bankroll and having a cap on each bet I think...that was cool too

Well I think we should probably first figure out who all is interested in then take a vote on whether we want to stick with the original formula or do something different.

Looks like you and I are cool with the original way of doing things and Ludo wants to try something new.

I don't really mind either way, but Svino's idea was interesting to Me. It kind of put us all on an even playing field. All I know is I don't have the time to run it this time around with the new job. I don't think I've seen a prelim fight live since November.

So how many people do we need to get this party started? What's the minimum?

Also, I have an idea for a side pot. Let's all throw in an extra $5 or $10 and run a side contest where we all pick every fight on the card. Each win gives you 1 point. Who ever has the most points at the end of the contest gets the money in the side pot.
