    UFC 216 - October 7th

T Mobile Arena - Las Vegas, Nevada

    Starting off with this ...

At 40, Werdum doesn’t have much left in the tank, which is a terrifying thing when you’re facing a killer like Derrick Lewis. Lewis is not the most rounded fighter in the division, but he makes up for it with aggression and is the hardest hitting fighter on the UFC roster, one bomb from the Black Beast can put anybody in the division to sleep. 16 of his 18 wins have come by way of KO/TKO. Without a doubt Lewis will be looking to keep the fight standing, wanting to land something big and land it early. The longer the fight goes, and fatigue setting in, the momentum will begin to shift in the favor of Werdum. Fabricio is undoubtedly the best Jiu-Jitsu practitioner in the heavyweight division. With 10 out of his 21 wins coming by way of submission, the two-time Jiu-Jitsu world champion could very well finish the fight by securing a takedown and submitting a gassed out / defenseless opponent. I can see this fight ending inside the distance with both men more than capable of pulling off a finish within the 15 minutes.

Derrick Lewis / Fabricio Werdum Fight won't go 3 round distance (-165)

      Main Even add-on ...

Ferguson is riding a 9 fight win streak ... 12 UFC wins and only one loss since winning the 13th season of The Ultimate Fighter back in 2011.

El Cucuy is a threat from everywhere. He has finished 8 of his 12 UFC opponents by either KO / D'Arce or rear-naked choke. Two huge advantages for Ferguson Saturday night are his stamina and his big-fight experience. He has beaten some of the best lightweights in the world on the big stage and his durability, conditioning and toughness is unmatched by most fighters on the planet.

Lee is getting a huge promotional push from the UFC for this fight. He is riding a five fight winning streak but he is getting tossed straight into the fire in an interim title match vs. a proven vet who might be a little too much for him this early in his career. In no way would I find it surprising if the Motown Phenom was able to secure a takedown in the first and possibly win the round, but I just don't see him having too much success when the fight hits the floor. As the fight goes on, Ferguson’s constant pressure and pace should slow Lee down. As Lee slows down, Ferguson should be able to take over hopefully sinking in something deep and tapping out the cocky up and comer.

      Ferguson wins inside distance -120

          FYI ...

UFC has officially confirmed that Lentz is off due to weight cutting issues. Will Brooks fight canceled.

Of course. Was looking forward to Ill Will getting back on track Saturday night. No such thing anymore as a full card going off without a hitch

These weight cuts are gonna kill one of these fighters one day.

14 fights this year that have now been scrapped from UFC card within 48 hours or less of the event taking place.

1-1 night but knocked out the bigger play for a nice profit
