Is it just me or does anyone else think Brandon Vera is a complete bum?

I dont see anyway he beats Couture ,the guy is a joke imo.



He beat Mir 3 years ago but i dont care.

He couldnt beat Tim Silvia ,Werdrum or Jardine three guys I know Couture would beat ( well two he already beat Silvia)

and imo he looked like shit against a second rate bum Krzysztof Soszynski .


With this line only being almost a pick I think Couture is worth a big play especially now that I'm hearing rumors White wants to put Couture against Machida after he disposes of Vera

I think Vera's a good fighter, just not QUITE top tier. But if you have to be a title contender in the #1 MMA organization in the world to be anything but a bum, then I guess most fighters are bums and always will be.

I think Krzystof is a very solid mid-level guy. He beat Stann without a whole lot of effort, and Stann (much to my eternal surprise) just beat Cantwell, who I also think is very solid. Also, he's exciting to watch and has a good personality.

If I was going to bet at the current line, it would be Couture. My main concern with Couture is that he looks a little less sharp these days, like age is finally catching up with him. I think the question is whether he can successfully use his wrestling to control Vera. If he can, then he wins. If not, then I can see him getting outpointed.

I've been looking at this one the past few days. I'm pretty close to putting a bet on Couture but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
