This fight is a fucking gold mine!

I hate that we have to wait until April. 5 units on Fedor on anything -500 or better. Werdum can't do SHIT to Fedor. I'd be much more concerned about my money if it was a rematch with Rogers.

God, I hope this line opens weak. -350 or better would be pure sex in the form of fight odds.

Seriously though, I think Fedor will just keep it standing and KO him.

Werdum got rocked by Kyle, and big foot in his last two fights. And Fedor is lightyears better than both those guys.

I will be all over Fedor in this one.

I'd take Werdum @ +250. Fedor is not invincible, he has been in trouble a lot. Werdum would be the best grappler Fedor has ever faced.

He could beat Fedor on the mat, if he can get it there without getting decimated first.

You would say that Werdum is a better grappler than Nog in his prime? In a pure grappling match, I have no idea who would win. But in terms of BJJ-for-MMA I would easily give it to Nog.

I would throw something small on Werdum at +500.

Well I know Nog beat Werdum, though I have never seen the fight (maybe they scrambled a lot and Nog beat him standing). Its hard to say, because I have never seen Werdum lose a fight on the ground. He is a world champion grappler. Plus he is bigger than Nog. I don't know that Nog's bjj for MMA is really anything more than he can take a lot of punches, which gives him time to work.

I would take Werdum 10 out of 10 times in a grappling match though.

I think Werdum has the edge on the ground, but I dont think its that significant, but he could definatly catch him.

If it was pure grappling, Werdum has a big advantage, but MMA, not so much. That chin he has is suspect IMO. Fedor will put it to the test, no matter what position they are in.

No doubt that has a lot to do with it. He uses the ol' blocking-punches-with-his-face tactic very well. But, at least in terms of MMA, Nog has gotten subs on much better fighters than Werdum.

Werdum has subbed Overeem, Fedor's brother, and a bunch of nobodies. Nog has subbed Hendo, Sylvia, Herring, and a prime Coleman, among others.

this line will probably be another -550 to -600 line again just like his last fights imo

Werdum's bjj is more about control and positional dominance than submissions. Which, IMO, is better and true jiu jitsu.

Werdum controlled and pounded out Vera, and did a good job of controlling a bigger bjj player in Silva in his recent fights.

Personally I dont ever see this fight going to the ground .Thats just my opinion though

Oh I agree. I think he will probably get blasted coming in. But I just think its a closer fight than a lot of people think. Really, I think its his stiffest test in quite some time (Arlovski beat Werdum, but barely and the entire fight was standing up where AA wanted it).
