Jens has had to overcome a lot of adversity to get where he is today. He came from a highly abusive home where he could've just given up and followed the same path as his father, but instead chose to fashion himself into a good father, a good husband, and a positive role model within the fighting community.

As for his MMA accomplishments, he's the only guy to beat BJ Penn at lightweight and was also the first UFC LW champion. He's had a lot of losses lately and is basically in the middle of his final march in his fighting career. I really hope he can turn things around and end on a high note. A lot of people are inspired by Jens' story.
