Hopkins fought the fight slow because he was 40 at the time and Taylor was 27 . Hopkins didnt want to fight a fast fight because he was afraid he would gas,little did he know Taylor would have been the one to gas. Hopkins fighting a slow fight was the perfect recipe for Taylor to win. Had Hopkins fought fast like he did in his fights after Taylor(Winky,Pavlik,Tarver ,Calazage) he would have won easily and probably KO'd Taylor

Hopkins admitted way after the Taylor fight he was holding back in the fight because he was afraid he couldnt go the full 12 rounds at full speed with a much younger fighter

I was on Jones, because for one Green is a can, and two, he had this Hopkins fight lined up, and I thought there was no way he would put himself in harms way. Just stay outside and out box Green for a UD.
