Lots of action
I have two parlays closing this event.
GSP(win), Okami(win)
GSP(win), Palhares(win), Okami(win), Florian(win). Both have Hughes and Silva left. One is 2u to win 3.5u and the other is 4u to win 5.25u.
Hughes by decision .5u to win 1.3u. So I have 6.5u at risk with Hughes.
Silva 13.6u to win 3u. So if Hughes wins, it will be 19.6u to win 11.75u
Edgar by decision .5u to win 5.5u
Edgar/Penn goes the distance 1u to win 2.5u
Edgar/Penn over 3.5 rds. 1u to win 1u
Dos Anjos 1u to win 1.5u
Dos Anjos by decision .25u to win 1u
Grove .5u to win .72u
Veach 2u to win 1u
Story 1.9u to win 1u
Al Turk .38u to win 1u
I have no idea about the Al Turk/Madsen fight, I just Know Madsen should not be that much of a favorite.
+19.5u. won big on the Silva/Hughes parlay and Edgar. I think Edgar deserved it, not a horrible decision at all. Not 50-45 though. I had BJ winning rd 1 and had 2 and 3 going either way, closer to Penn for 2, Edgar 3 and Edgar definatly took 4 and 5.
Dana White said at the press confernce Edgars first fight will probably be against Gray Maynard .Lol I knew they wouldnt give Penn a rematch right off the bat
I had a good day: Small loss on the Maia dog bet, wins on Hughes and Dos Anjos. I was this close to betting on Grove, but fortunately chickened out at the late minute.
Congrats to Thewiseman, but I really think Penn won that fight, and 50-45 for Edgar might be the single worst scoring I've ever seen. I'll be interested to see what Fightmetric does with it.
Anderson really sent a message with his performance today, and that message was, "Stop sending me jiu-jitsu guys!" But seeing how Dana's not one to back down from a challenge, I'm guessing Silva's next fight is against Rousimar Palhares in a special 10' diameter octagon, with Kevin Mulhall as the ref.
My bet on Hughes might well have been on the wrong side of the line. I thought he hadn't lost much, but he didn't look that great out there to me. I even had Gracie taking that first round.
How about the first one... Or maybe the second one where he basicly sat there for 45 seconds screaming at Maia to come and hit him and Maia still backed off. In the beginning Maia was scared shitless to go near anderson. It wasn't until he knew he had no chance but a lucky punch that he decided to go and actually push the pace and do anything.
2013: +8.24u(increased unit size on 5/19)
Favorites: 20-6 + 6.13u
Underdogs: 10-19 -2.51u
Ludo's Locks Parlay Project: +1.4u
I had Gracie winning round one as well, simply because he kept snapping that jab between Hughes' hands. But I think the first round was all about feeling each other out.
On a side note BJ Penn's loss set Me back 6.7 units.

Just watched replay of Penn-Edgar and can say a decision for either fighter was possible in that fight.I had rounds 1&3 too close to call ,round 2 for Penn and 4&5 for Edgar but almost every round could have went either way
Thanks guys. I think the fight was 48-47, you could make a case for 49-46, I have to watch it again. either way, 50-45 was retarded.
It only makes sense for Maynard to get the shot now, him being Edgars only loss and is on a nice win streak. Give Penn Gomi then a shot at the title.
Penn would Murder Gomi. We were talking about how there was nothing Gomi did better than Kenny, there's nothing Kenny does better than BJ. Something didn't seem right today with Penn. His gameplan was all wrong, he should have tried to clinch or something and get Edgar in a position that he couldn't move all over the place.

Maybe he didnt train very well and took Edgar lightly

Sorry, no points for 'sitting there' or for 'screaming', he did however almost get penalized in round 5 for stalling and for his Kalib Starnes imitation.
By your logic, the second half of the fight was all Maia as Anderson refused to engage. He has done that in 3 of his last four fights.
Silva was pissed because Maia wouldn't bull rush him. Silva wasn't pushing forward even in round one or 2. His taunting was just a lame attempt to get Maia to play bull to his bullfighter. Silva is a counterpuncher. He was afraind to come forward because he did not want to get taken down. Even bigger fan of Maia after that. I think he took round 4 and definately took round 5. Everyone is talking dominance, but no one is mentioning that Maia took a round off him, something that has been done only once in the UFC. And he did it on his feet. GSP will beat Silva.
I gave rounds 1&2 to Penn, 4&5 to Edgar. 3 could have went either way. Definitely not a robbery, though I probably would have given it to bj. But BJ fought with a terrible gameplan. Why didn't he test teh waters on the ground? He is world champion blackeblt fighting a purple belt. Silly.
Speaking of horrible... that card. Worst fights ever. Ultimate ammy kickboxing at its worst.
