I keep coming back to Lesnar / Couture. Lesnar didn't exactly dominate Couture in the wrestling department despite having a massive age and weight advantage. Carwin might well be able to neutralize him

He may very well. I fully agree with that. I would take Carwin if he was even a moderate underdog. At even odds though, it would have to be Lesnar for 1u.

Seriously though I think Carwin can defend Lesnars takedowns. Everyone that said Mir was going to win said he would take Carwin down and submit him.Mir never never had the chance.I've seen Carwin takedown once that lasted for about 10 seconds.I'd say Carwin is just as likely to take Lesnar down as Lesnar is of taking Carwin down.Where does that leave us ? On their feet and Carwin for sure has the edge there

My biggest concern is that Carwin was both dazed and taken down by Gabriel Gonzaga. Gonzaga is not an A-level fighter, I don't give a fuck what anyone says. He loses every fight that matters, except for maybe the Cro Cop fight, but Cro Cop was already done by that point. We just didn't know it.

I wouldnt put too much into him being taken down or stunned ,I'd look at it more of he got right back up and knocked Gonzaga out.Anyone can get stunned or takedown but not every gets right back up

Lets not forget Lesnar was submitted by Mir in the first fight and stunned by Mir imo right before that idiotic flying knee. Lesnar let Mir back up in round 2 and then Mir stunned him and he went straight to the takedown

I don't think the edge in takedowns is even close. Lesnar is still HUGE compared to Carwin. He's about 3inches taller if not more and at least 20-30lbs heavier. The thing that would give Lesnar the edge in takedowns is I don't think Carwin could take him down if Lesnar has even a decent sprawl. That much upper body mass falling down on top of you is enough to knock the wind out of you. I don't think Carwin could pull it off, he doesn't exactly seem to have an overwhelming desire to take anyone down anyway. That clinch game up against the fence is cool and call if you want to stall the fight but I don't see it happening with someone much bigger than him for very long.

We still don't know what Carwin has in the tank. We have seen Lesnar go three rounds before. If Lesnar DOES open up anything near -130 I'm jumping on it instantly.

Couture held Lesnar up against the cage for quite a while and he's much smaller and weaker than Carwin so why wouldnt Carwin be able to do the samething.

I think this line opens around -130 and people will do what Ludocain is thinking and jump all over it. Once it goes to
-175 or higher I'll be there to bet Carwin
