Just rewatched the chaos Jason Miller asked where his rematch was then Shield pushed Miller,then Gilbert Melendez pushed Miller,Jake Shields then punched Miller and Miller tired to hit everyone in the Shield camp.Then Diaz and the rest of Shields camp rushed Miller and took him to the ground while they punched and kicked Miller.Once Miller was on the ground up to 7 of Shields camp were punching/kicking him at the sametime while 2 staff and one looks like promoter tried to break it up

OK, imagine this: What if all of the championship fights from UFC 111, UFC 112, and Strikeforce Nashville had been three round fights instead of 5 rounders? Don't you think that would have massively boosted the entertainment value of each card? Fans can usually take a boring 3 round fight; it's when they also have to sit through two extra rounds of lopsided top control or dancing around that it feels intolerable. Fights rarely get finished in the 4th and especially 5th rounds anyway. Maybe they should just kill the 5-round fight idea.

I think the problem was moreso that this was amateur hour. King Mo, Mousasi, Hendo, and Shields were all gassed in the 3rd round.

2. No way would Aoki even get BJ Penn to break a sweat.

Don't think Shields punched Miller. It looked like Nate Diaz over his back.

Like it or not MMA is turning into the new WWE.With signings of James Toney,Walker ,Kimbo,Lesnar,Lashley its all about entertainment anymore than the fighting

I like to have some showmanship.

Honestly, I don't ever want to see MMA go 100% mainstream. It's not boxing, it's not the NFL, it's not the NBA. That shit with Mayhem? I loved it. MMA should always retain a degree of irreverence to keep it at least mildly offensive to average people.

I had to laugh at the little bit of damage control attempted in the post fight interview. Shields tried to apologize and the interviewer sort of cut him off with a "- yeah, let's not focus on that".

The Strikeforce announcers are shit. No one can touch Goldie and Rogan.

The worst part about that statement is that Goldie and Rogan suck complete ass. Rogan is good when he's talking about jiujitsu, but that's it.

The strikeforce team make them look like prodigies.

I hate that Gil was the favorite here because I would've totally bet him as the underdog. I've been a Gil fan for a while. Glad to see him totally derail the Aoki hype train. I wonder where Aoki's going to go in the rankings. . .

Dude, you DO need to stop watching MMA then if that's how you feel. I'm about to knock you the fuck out of this forum.

Goldie and Rogan are the princes of MMA commentary. NO ONE can touch them. They are fucking awesome. Anytime I watch a non-UFC event I cringe at the announcing and am forced to think about the excellence of Goldie and Rogan.

They're lucky it wasn't a more submission-oriented card. There weren't that many sub attempts and I heard at least two called wrong. That said, I think Goldberg is awful. I'd like to see him replaced, maybe with someone who really knows striking.
