Re: 7 Fighters Who Lied Their Way to Legendary
dam, thats pretty good shit.
I know a guy who does shit with the fake belts and what not. He was claiming he won a bunch of kick boxing tourneys in tailand or some shit, and had these two belts. they both said "title boxing" on them, so we googled title boxing, and the belts were right on the fuckin website.
The guy actually ran his own kick boxing academy, so I know he practiced that shit all the time, but I dont know why the fuck a dude would go to those lengths for attention. -

Interesting story.Originally posted by IWS ZakThe guy actually ran his own kick boxing academy, so I know he practiced that shit all the time, but I dont know why the fuck a dude would go to those lengths for attention.
I generally think that anyone who would do shit like that is mentally ill to some extent. Maybe not quite "I deserve to be in an insane asylum" kind of crazy, but at least "if you spent too much time around me you'd realize something was a little fucked up" kind of crazy.
I was not surprised at all to see Frank Dux at the #1 spot on the list. I actually used to have the book he wrote about his real-life exploits (it was called "The Secret Man" and was actually really interesting). I have also read some stuff from Sheldon Lettich, who wrote the screenplay for Bloodsport, and he says that very shit about Dux: that the guy is mentally ill and lives in a self-constructed fantasy world.I heart cockComment

Nah, I went to high school with him, and he is cool as shit when he aint going on about how bad he is. He is actually the guy that turned me on the the UFC. He taped the first couple off PPV and was telling me about it. He kept talking about some little guy knocking the shit out of some sumo wrestler type. He let me borrow the tapes and I was hooked ever since.
I didnt see him for a few years, and turns out, he was friends with a guy I worked with. He was throwing out all that kick boxing shit when he would come into the store, but after I saw them belts and found they were fake, I was waiting for the right moment to put him on blast.
He came in one day, telling these bs stories, and I was like, you get that 2 for $99 deal for them belts from Titleboxing.com? That motherfuckers face was priceless. I little later, he kept asking me what I was talking about. I was just telling him, look man, you dont have to admit what I already know, its cool man. He still was denying it though, but when I google his name, all I could find was him coming in like 7th place in some point sparring karate competition.
Another guy on this forum, roundhouse tommy, knows him too.Comment

That shit died down for a while, till I saw that picture autographed that he gave the guy I worked with. I was killing him on that.Originally posted by SPXNice story. Glad to hear you said something to him about it. If you hadn't, I'd had asked why not.
Looked like he took that shit in his back yard.Comment
