I guess Filho is out, Jay Silva is in. Sucks, I put 0.25u on Filho @ +355 earlier.

yeah I had a bet on him too.

But Lombard could be a decent bet against Silva.


Also Reis is all the way down to -152 now. I really wish I hadn't missed the boat on him as a dog.

Who Reis? I don't know, I think that is about right. He should win, but he can really only win by decision here. His standup is terrible but he has very good takedowns and top control. I am hoping he gets steeper closer to fight time and then I can get on PItbull as a dog. If not, I will probably break down and jump on Reis @ -150

Yup, looks like Filho is out.

An upset Paulo Filho confirmed the news that reached the GRACIEMAG.com newsroom. He will no longer fight at the May 13 Bellator show, where he would have faced Hector Lombard. According to the fighter, the bureaucracy involved in getting his visa was what held him back.

“It seems the event took too long in sending out the letter I needed to present at the consulate and I’m not sure but it could be there was some kind of failure on the part of my managers. So, I won’t get my visa in time. I’m really upset because I’ve been training a lot. I did everything just right; I don’t know what to say,” he says.

“It got me down, but I’m not going to stop training. Something good will turn up,” he says in finishing.

Not sure I believe you can pin this all on Bellator... This isn't the first time they've had a Brazilian scheduled to compete is it? I would assume they know the deal seeing as they deal with alot of fighters from outside of the US. I would assume this is more the fault of the managers like he halfway suggested in the second half of the quote. Obviously someone somewhere in this mix lost the document or something and in turn it's all fucked up.

Yeah, Silva has a chance. That line is just wrong. Silva can survive on the ground, though he will probably be on bottom. He can bang too. Lombard is not that great, IMO. I am going to drop a small play on Silva.
