Werdum sucks. I don't know why you have so much faith in him. He got straight cancelled by JDS and then went on to win a very lackluster decision against Bigfoot. Oh, and he looked like shit against AA since you like to go back to old fights.

I've never seen ANYTHING to impress me out of Werdum. Maybe the Vera fight. Sort of. I didn't expect to see Vera get outwrestled like he did, but whatever, Vera is no Fedor.

Fedor's reign may one day end, but not because of fucking Febricio Werdum.

You are just straight up hating. Werdum is now and has been a top 10 HW for several years. In no way does he suck. He probably doesn't have the tools to beat Fedor, but he definately doesn't suck. Just because you have only seen his lackluster UFC fights, doesn't mean he sucks.

A win over Bigfoot is nothing to sneeze at. Bigfoot has only lost 1 other fight.



He also beat the shit out of your lover Alistair Overeem. If I remember correctly making his cry uncle pretty quickly. He also beat Gonzaga and Aleks.


Werdum is a stud. Don't hate.

I think Werdum is justin top 10. the guy is solid. I dont think he beats Fedor, but I dont think he is a bum.

Getting blown up by JDS isnt a bad loss IMO. That dude is pushing everyones shit in right now.

I think Sherdog has him at 9. He has been in the top 10 since about 2006. Also SD has Bigfoot in the top 10.

Werum has wins over 3 current top 10 guys. I do not think he will beat Fedor, but I don't get why everyone is sleeping on him either. Its a legit fight and a very tough test for Fedor.

I know he has great Jitz, but I just cant see him subbing Fedor. Fedor was all up in Nog's guard with no problems, and I think he is savvy enough to stay out of trouble.

If Werdum gets on top, that could be a problem, but again, I think Fedor can stay out of trouble there. Werdum is going to have a hell of a time even getting him down IMO.

And he has no shot winning any part of the stand up. He got wrecked by JDS, and was in trouble standing with Big foot.

That said, there is no way that line should be where it is right now.

I agree he won't submit Fedor from guard, or probably at all. Werdum is not really a guard player, although that's where he subbed Overeem. He is more positional. But he is a much bigger man than Fedor. Werdum is every bit as big as Bigfoot (when they fought, he looked bigger to me). Werdum will probably have trouble getting him down, but Fedor has been taken down by lesser wrestlers. The JDS KO was lightning in a bottle, I don't expect Fedor to walk out there an nap him. Werdum usuallt has pretty good defense. He has a bad habit of trading though, and throwing wild kick combos, which probably isn't a good idea here.

No but really the only way Werdum wins this fight is if he can SOMEHOW take Fedor down and get into full mount. As good as Fedor has become since the Arona fight I don't see him being able to stay out of trouble if Werdum mounts him. Half guard and side mount count for shit because Fedor is too good at sweeps but a guy with Werdums grappling pedigree from full mount could spell major trouble for Fedor.

Agreed... but I think the trouble is not passing guard and avoiding the sweep, which Werdum should be able to do with no trouble. I think the trouble is holding Fedor down. He is pretty explosive and can usually scramble to his feet
