I actually haven't been changing my units, because when I first started I wasn't playing with a 2% unit. I started a little over a year ago with about $700, but was playing with a $20 unit. Now I'm up to a little over $1100 overall. Once I get to $1250 I'm going to up my unit to $25, and then keep increasing it by $5 every $250 that I get ahead.

Ah. I just change after every bet. Whatever my total bankroll is, I just divide by 50.

nah. I got rid of the riffraff a long time ago. There are only about 5 posters that give really good info and about 35 lurkers. I only keep the blog going because there are 2 or 3 posters who I really value their input and they can't or won't come here. No more hate mail though. That sad thing is that when I was getting the hate mail, I was actually significantly ahead.

That's why there is a calculator. Just plug in the amount you have. a "0" for expected contributions. plug in a time frame. Plug in your expected rate of return (50% or whatever you think you can do). Plug in "0" for your tax rate (unless you plan on paying taxes on your winnings).

bam- you get a number- your bankroll after X years at X% rate of return.

I've thought about recalculating after every event, but it seems like a lot of work, and at my current betting level it would only work out to a couple of dollars difference, really.

I only keep the blog going because there are 2 or 3 posters who I really value their input and they can't or won't come here.

Its not really an exact science for me either... I really just ballpark it and bet arbitrary amounts TBH. For example, I said I have 1.4u on Osipczac, but really I have like 1.68u. But it makes it easier to add up if I just say 1.4u.

I actually did. I gave it a really hard sell. I said it was full of good cappers that do at least as well as I do. There is a standing link pimping the place. But one guy is in afghanistan, and he only gets a little bit of internet time. So he has a blog too, and he always pops in on mine. The other guy said he doesn't like the format and likes it better without all the bullshit- just breakdowns. I can understand that. You guys have grown on me now though.

No shit? I would've NEVER guessed that. I thought you just searched for "wrestling" in Google Images and grabbed that one because it's an odd pic of some wrestler dude with his fist up like, "Yeah! I'm a bad ass!" all during the middle of a match.

no shit. I just assumed everyone knew... the Cowboys Singlet and all... he is taunting Ryan Churella (Churella's are wrestling royalty, there is even a move called the Churella).

Johny he did not start rocking that beard until his UFC career. In most of his MMA fights he is clean shaven.

He was awesome in college... he was a total college wrestling heel, everyone hated him. He was probably the best wrestler in college at the time, but was always taunting the Iowa fans and stuff. He was always pushing guys after the whistle and taunting teh fans... He won it all as a sop and jr, and as a senior until the final match. Mark Perry, the Iowa wrestler, finally beat him in the finals. Hendricks had already beaten him like 5 or 6 times that year. When Perry won, the place just blew up... it is seriously one of the loudest wrestling events I had ever seen... people hated Hendricks, and he ate it up Toney style.

^^^ Thanks for that explanation. You have to remember that most of us here haven't really followed the college wrestling scene. I have aboslutely no idea about any wrestlers who haven't transitioned into MMA. I literally couldn't name a single one.
