You think so? I would actually give George a chance to win that fight after seeing how BJ's grappling was 80% ineffective against Edgar. George looked great against Pellegrino, who has proven himself to be a fine wrestler in his own right.

At this point I'm struggling to determine who is the most impressive up-and-comer: G-Sot or Dunham. Probably have to go with Dunham just because he has that win over Griffin and seems to be slightly more well-rounded.

In any case, I want to see BJ win his next fight.

In fact, here's my preference:

Edgar fights Maynard while Florian fights George and BJ fights Dunham. Edgar, Florian and BJ win. Florian fights Edgar and wins. Penn fights Florian and wins. Penn fights Edgar for a third time and wins.

Florian, Edgar, Maynard, G-Sot, and Dunham cry.

Balance is restored to the universe.

Honestly, I doubt they'll even match up Dunham or Sotirouropolos with Penn or Florian, despite what the Australian Daily Bugle says. They don't want those guys potentially offing the challengers. Notice Fitch never fights guys being pushed for title shots. Also notice Kenny didn't fight Diego or Edgar before their shots.

As for Florian beating Dunham or George, I dunno. You could be right. Florian, if anything, has shown that he still has a weakness in the grappling department and both of those guys are damn good in that area. We'd just have to see.

I would still take BJ over Edgar if I could get a decent dog price. I guess I still believe that he's "BJ Penn."

Anyone who thinks Sotiropoulos has a chance against Penn needs a headcheck and a nut kick back to reality. George might have a slight chance against Florian, but Florian would still kill him. Sotiropolous can't strike with either man, and he can't take either one down (definitely not Penn). Just because Maynard was able to control Kenny doesn't mean anyone can (Maynard also controlled Edgar, which no one else has been able to d0). Sotoripolous has shown some nice bjj, but his takedowns are not great and his hands are embarassing.

Maybe you guys were right, this BJ setback is going to get us some gift lines... if more than 1 of you think George could hang with BJ, we have already seen the collective subconscious move against Penn.
