I mean it's used as a blanket term by apologists to mean any comment that is disapproving of anything a gay person or (I shudder to even say this) 'the gay community' does. Phobia means irrational fear. I don't know of anyone who is actually scared of homos, they just don't like having their faggotry shoved in their face.

Anyways, it's just one of those little things that irritates me to no end.

What's the deal with gay hate though? I honestly have known a lot of gay people. One of my best friends is gay.

I get the thing about gay people throwing shit in people's faces, but it's important to remember that as a cultural group they are easily one of the very most oppressed in all of society . . . in all cultures.
