What was this ref was suppose to do? Noons was in mid punch at the end of the first round .Was the ref supppose to superman fly across the ring and stop the punch?

The kick was illegal but the ref was already going to grab noons to stop the fight when it happened. I dont see what the ref could have really done

Yeah, that wasn't that bad. I do think he probably should've stopped it after that massive right hand left hook combo that dropped him. Gurgel was all kinds of done and he hesitated a bit too much.
