Re: Bellator 26
Cummings is the play I am leaning toward.
he has already beaten Bears once. Bears still sucks at grappling. Cummings is a wrestler (though just a solid H.S. wrestler that kept working on it). Still Bears gets taken down a lot and Cummings striking is not totally horrible either. The only hesitation I have is that in Bears most recent fight in Bellator, his footwork looks like it has improved dramatically. But then again, Green wasnt trying to take him down either... Leaning toward Cummings, and his line keeps inching up.2012: +19.33

Re: Bellator 26
Ward is #4 ranked 115 wrestler/grappler vs Daly #5 ranked 125 lb striker from europe. My instinct is to always say the european has never had to face an american wrestler, and she will be in uncomfortable territory, not to mention striking in women's mma is never devestating esp at 115 so I don't see many outs for Daly. I like ward as the dog.
Hayes was preparing for a south korean wrestler, hayes is a sprawl and brawl guy. Now he is facing some judo guy with great submissions. I still think hayes can keep it standing I have seen Oleinik's takedowns they are terrible, a lot of time he has to pull guard to get the fight to the ground. Not happening against Hayes. Hayes will keep it standing, and get the ud or tko/ko.
Vega v tims is a rubber match . Tims won the first fight on a ud. 2nd match vega subed him. Vega is a way more well rounded fighter who has high school wrestling experience, and multiple ways to win. Tims also started fighting right out of highschool wrestling he will be going for takedowns non stop and probably gets caught at some point.

Re: Bellator 26
Havis,
I looked at the Vega/Tims match earlier. I was leaning Vega, but not strongly. I think they are pretty well matched. The only thing that is concerning is that Tims basically cardio tapped in the 2nd fight. The rematch was the 2nd fight of the night for both guys. I just think it is too close to call accurately.
I did not know about Hayes/Oleinik. I will have to look at that one.2012: +19.33

^^ looked at Hayes/Oleinik.
I don't know... I am not seeing what you are seeing. I agree Hayes is way more athletic and explosive. That should help him with the takedown defense and striking. But Alexy is tough as hell and he is a lot more crafty (I think he is actually a more skilled fighter). I get why you think Hayes will win, but I just can't see how the fight is going to play out.
I liek to have an idea of how the fight is going to look. I am usually wrong, but I still like to have a clear vision of what is going to go down. If I had to guess, I think Hayes will win round one, and Alexey will gain steam as some of the snap comes off of Hayes... I don't really have an idea of who will win. I guess I would favor Alexey slightly.2012: +19.33
