With Daley missing weight and not looking so hot in Australia I think Masvidal is a live dog. I took him for 1u.
It's possible Daley missing weight is a GOOD thing for him, though. He could rock it out Anthony Johnson-style.
It's not like he missed it by 8 pounds and just said, "fuck it". It really seems like he tried to cut the weight and failed. I think Daley has enough weaknesses and there's enough uncertainty about the quality of his training to make a dog bet on Masvidal worthwhile.
Jorge Masvidal looks to be a striker more or less. I would not want to be anyone in a striking battle with Paul Daley. His last 13 of 13 wins have come from strikes.
I sherdoggg'd all the guys Tarec Saffiedine has fought. Some so so guys. One guy that beat him is a 38 year old high level judo guy. The other guys he beat were mostly cans. Some with many fights but barely winning records. All the guys he submitted were guys with 2-5 fights and losing records for the most part. Brock Larson is a vet with 19 submission wins. I think he should take this. Tarec is onyl 24 years old by the way.
Davila missed weight by 6.5 lbs. But I can't find myself to bet on a 39 year old, 21-17 journeyman...although he did look good against Luigi.
He looked good against Nathan Gunn, too.
My biggest concern would be that most of Davila's wins are by sub and Spratt likes to be subbed apparently, with 12 of his last losses coming by submission.
Still, Davila seems to suck a lot. If you research it, you'll see that most (all?) of his wins are against guys who have pretty lackluster records (like Spratt's, I suppose) and he loses against just about anyone who actually has a name people have heard of. At least many of Spratt's losses have come to pretty notable guys.
