Well, he's a champion on such a long win streak . . . so my guess is he gets matched up with top guys. I doubt he'd be fighting the Joe Brammers and Shannon Gugerty's of the UFC.
Give him Dunham. I don't think it would work out for him.
Good lord you've got the UFC balls lodged firmly in your throat.
Triple-six killers in this motherfucker runnin shit
For whatever reason, there aren't a lot of great wrestlers at LW. Maynard is the only AA I can think of, and really Maynard was not that great... I bet McKee would do pretty well in the UFC.
LW is missing the wrestlers. There are NCAA champs and olympians in every other weightclass (WW has Kos, Askren, Hendricks; MW has Munoz, Rosholt, Sonnen, Linland; LHW has Hendo, Randy, Coleman; Hw has Brock, Cormier)

I think you get too caught up in credentials.
The LW division in the UFC is overrun with good wrestlers. What it needs is some awesome strikers. Bring KJ Noons in for God's sake.

maybe so. But an olympian or even current world level talent like Brent Metcalf would put Maynard firmly on his rear end. They look good because they are the best wrestlers in the division... but there are plenty of dudes that would ragdoll Maynard in grappling match. Speaking of Lance Palmer (Ohio State 149# and 2nd best wrestler in the division) is entering MMA. He would put Maynard on his back too.
^ that is hadaka jime, which I also learned from a judoka... it really doesnt have a bjj name, because no one uses it.
but I see online that some people call a RNC the same thing... so maybe they are interchangeable in japanese.
Well fair enough. Not how I learned it, though.
With that said, having that sort of pressure against your adam's apple sucks, and feels like it could be permanently damaging. I'd be surprised that fighters don't tap from it.
