Can anyone tell me why Heath is favored over Hutcherson? I am thinking about just dropping a value bet there... Neither fighter is good, but Hutcherson actually has better wins and has fought better competition. I think he should be the favorite.
Is there anyone worth betting on this card? I'm too lazy to figure out who all these guys are. I only know Mandingo and Taylor.
A few of us have money on Taylor, myself included.
Watson is an English striker with limited ground skills. He's not terrible in the grappling department, from what I've seen, but Taylor will outwrestle him all day long and Watson is not good enough to exploit Taylor's poor sub defense. The only out I see for Watson is a KO and I doubt it stays on the feet long enough for him to get it. And even if it does, Taylor has never been KOd.
You guys are probably right, but I watched Watson's win over Horwich and that scared me off.
I think that Taylor's and Horwich's wrestling are two very different types. Taylor using stifling, powerful top control. He's a big strong guy. The only reason guys beat him is because he leaves openings to get subbed. Horwich is not that kind of grappler at all. Also, seeing Taylor go a round and a half with Bustamante and not get subbed and technically win that fight did a lot for me to suggest that Taylor has at least improved his sub defense. I mean, surely he's been working on that.

Watson certainly won't sub Taylor, no argument there.

I think the theory is that Hutcherson is weak on the ground and Heath will be able to put him there. Still, Heath isn't all that great and I agree with you that the line isn't justified.
