Weird, I didn't even know you COULD score a 10-10 in boxing.
Yeah boxing uses what they call a "10 point must system," but a lot of people confuse this with the idea that every round needs to have a winner, be it 10-9, 10-8, etc.
What it actually means is that each round one fighter hasta have at least a 10 on the scorecards. You can't have a 9-8 round or 9-9, something like that. I'm paraphrasing the rule but that's the gist of it.

Each fighter MUST start out with 10 points. I have seen 9-9 rounds and even 9-8 rounds in the case where one or both fighter had points deducted for fouls.

That's interesting and yeah I guess that makes sense, I didn't take fouls into account. Thanks for helping clarify.

What Hopkins did Saturday night at almost 46 is what I wanted to see from Couture before he retired. I really wish Couture would have retired after the Coleman or Vera fights instead of after fighting someone making their MMA debut .I know it doesnt matter but thats how I'd like to see a fighter go out. Of course most fighters go out with a loss and this wont be Hopkins last fight so......
I've never seen there first fight, but a rematch between Hopkins and Glen Johnson has always intrigued me unfortuantly I dont think it will ever happen. Hopkins in his twlight years is looking for only the big money/fights which i can understand
