Seem the same or is the same? Because Manny and Mayweather both sell just as many PPV buys as Tyson did.
The only people saying boxing is dying are MMA fans and they never watched boxing to begin with ,except maybe once a year. If anything you could say MMA is dying they havent had a 1 million PPV sale all year.....but some would say that's silly talk which I would agree with . I really do not understand why people say boxing is dying ,when I ask someone why the only answer I get is "no one cares about it anymore."
The whole situation is weird to me.Last edited by Luke; 09-18-2011, 11:35 PM.2015 MMA BETTING CHAMP

Well, seem the same. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I was a kid when Tyson was fighting, and everything seems bigger when you're a kid, but it just seemed at the time like a lot more people really gave a fuck.
Mike Tyson. The name alone conjures up so much thought and emotion. HBO did a movie on his life. Recently a big documentary was released about him. He's fucking Mike Tyson. The biggest name since Ali. I just don't feel that Mayweather or Pac command the same sort of attention.
Of course I could be wrong.
Well a big part of the issue is that boxing has a legitimate competitor now. 20 years ago if you wanted to watch some pro fights then you were watching boxing. (Kickboxing got kind of big for a minute, but not really.)The only people saying boxing is dying are MMA fans and they never watched boxing to begin with ,except maybe once a year. If anything you could say MMA is dying they havent had a 1 million PPV sale all year.....but some would say that's silly talk which I would agree with . Today you have boxing or MMA. It seems that the older crowd are still choosing boxing as the #1 combat sport. Younger people are choosing MMA, at least in the United States and Canada. If the trend continues, where does that put boxing in 50 years? I mean, you mentioned boxing PPV buys. Who is buying PPVs? That's largely older, non-Internet-savvy fans.I heart cockComment

Yea, there is something wrong with Dawson. Almost like he does not even want to fight anymore. I do not want to go overboard, but it could be a substantial bet.Comment
