I think a year is the standard now. He could probably appeal it and maybe get a 6 month suspension like Sean Sherk did. Dana trying to cover it up? Seriously? CSAC is hardly afraid of the UFC or Dana White. I'm just wondering why this took so long to figure out in the first place. Unless Chael's was the last to be tested and even then it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. No way should it take this long to figure out someone cheated.

I really hope he comes out and denies it, or makes up some story that his genetics are such, that he will always test positive, he sets metal detectors off, etc.

The twist to the story is that, at least according to one report, it's a "natural steroid" that he tested positive for, i.e. something that could've been in an over-the-counter supplement. If that's true, then I doubt he knew about it. I mean, if he was going to take the chance, then why fuck around with over the counter bullshit? Why not go all out and get loaded to the gills with test?
