    Bellator 32

    Bellator Fighting Championship 32 -

    Cole Konrad -355 -525 -355 -500 -400 -331 -370
    Neil Grove +295 +325 +295 +300 +300 +290

What do you guys think of this?

I think the Polish Pitbull was catching Konrad a little bit at the end of their fight. Neil hits like a ton of bricks and is big enough to hold Konrad off of him for a bit. I think he could catch him.

Konrad seems like he has a pretty good chin though. I know he lacks finishing ability typically. He likes to just wrestle guys it seems like. If he has to win by wrestling Neil Grove for 15 minutes that is a long time to go without getting tagged with a good shot from him. Konrad is a bit of a gasser but I wouldn't be suprised if Neil Grove is also.

I already dropped 1u @ +325. I was honestly shocked at the line. I guess Konrad should be the favorite, but Jesus Christ, what the fuck has he done in MMA to warrant that kind of line against a hard-hitting veteran like Grove?

I don't like Grove's chances. He isn't going to have a size advantage against Conrad. What happens when he gets put on his back. But I guess hes got the punchers chance.

Anyone have any thoughts on Makovsky/West? The line has not come out yet, but it should be released today.

I think West is more dynamic, but Makovski is just a better top focused grappler and has the tools to make it a grappling match.

          I set my line @ -200...

          thoughts?

Makovsky is imo the perfect fighter. A strong wrestler(at least college) with good takedowns and a complete bjj game. West is active and has those long limbs he could wrap up makovsky, if west is active enough who knows how the judges will score the ground fighting. The only thing keeping me from going huge on Makovosky is the judging at bellator events has been terrible lately. I think we will be lucky to see better then -200.

I agree he is the perfect fighter for me to bet. A grappler with the tools to take the fight to the mat. Makovski is a good grappler though, a FILA world champ (which is like the AAA to the big leagues of grappling). West calls himself a catch wrestler, but is a brown belt under Frank Mir IIRC. Makovski's short limbs and power are going to make him tough to submit (though West does have a triangle choke). I really think Makovski will beat him up on the mat though. Even if West throws a lot of submission attempts, I think Makovski will GNP him pretty well. Also, Makovski doesn't gas, so he can get that takedown over and over. West doesn't have one punch power on his feet. I am liking Makovski more and more here.

Anyone have any thoughts on wallhead/Thomas? I don't know alot about Wallhead except he has a judo background and used to fight at LW. Thomas used to fight at MW, has faced stiffer comp, and has a wrestling base. I am thinking Thomas is a good dog bet @ +150.

I like Thomas also. Every wallhead fight i've checked out so far has been him jabbing then going for a double leg on people with little to no TDD. He already lost to an american with a wrestling base, but it could have been a close fight i don't know.

Yeah I looked at him a little. I think it will be a close fight, but Wallhead is not going to bring the takedowns anything like what Askren brought. The only issue is that I am not sure Thomas can beat him standing either. Stiil, I think Thomas is going to win this.

I am going to throw a small bet on him. .25u on Thomas @ +150

                              .25 on Thomas/Makovski/Conrad to win 1u
