Well, I wouldn't expect it. I certainly wouldn't favor him, but I think he has a chance. He has style that is hard to deal with... @ +400 or wherever he is now, I think he has some value. I don't put any top 10 guy at 4:1 over another top 10 guy.

I actually think he can. I swear, the WEC always has big upsets it seems. Also, This shit is in Colorado, and it could really effect Aldo's cardio.

I doubt it affects him any more than Manny. Broomfield isn't that high really. It's only a few thousand feet higher than Vegas.

I spent a bit of time reading about Roop/ KZ today. I'm not sure about this one. KZ seems like a brawler, all the guys he submitted had horrible records not involving more than 3-4 fights. Some 1 or 2 fights.

Roop landed takedowns on Leonard Garcia to win the fight. I see that being his path to victory against the KZ. The only problem is I have no idea what his takedown D is like..I'm assuming that since he is coming from Asia that he might not be accustomed to fighting not to get taken down.

Thoughts?

I agree that the value in this fight right now is on Roop. I watched Garcia/Roop last night. Roop won that fight and the point deduction was bullshit.

Roop would've been sweet to get at +325. He may very well win here. With that said, I'm still hesitant to bet on him. Like you say, KZ's ground game is a question mark. I remember he did some cool roll shit on Garcia. Plus Roop was constantly getting stuck in guillotines in the Garcia fight so if KZ has a good guillotine it might spell doom for Roop.

Finally, on the feet, Garcia was getting beat up by KZ, and Garcia fought pretty equally on the feet with Roop and landed several good shots.

I think that ultimate this fight will come down to takedowns and grappling. If Roop can get KZ down and maintain top control to lay down some GnP he may walk away with the decision. But if Roop's takedown plan backfires and he either gets subbed or reversed, or if it stays on the feet and KZ can live up to his name and just come forward and land strikes, then I think he wins.

In any case, the line is stupid.

its worth a bet just for value... .5u on Roop @ +225. I think the fight is basically a coin flip, maybe 55% KZ.

I like Hominick to win, but he has lost the value (he opened @ +140 and is -220 now).

In a 3 rounder, I got the lispy one. In the first fight, he clearly won the first 2 rounds (he also won round 3)... I think the shorter fight is going to play in Varner's favor.
