Oregon Open Submission Grappling Tournament

Hey guys I have been really busy lately thats why I havent been on much. I competed in the Oregon Open about a week and a half ago and got 3rd place. My first match i won on points 6-0. I have a link set up for my second match that I won and then I lost my third. Let me know what you think. I have only been doing Jiu Jitsu for 4 months so go easy lol

Nah, just kidding. Anyway, you looked pretty good out there. You seem to have a good sense of how and when to react to your opponent's body movement so that you stay in dominant position, and even when you were on your back you were always attacking.

haha!! no im not Struves cousin although i could pass for it. lol i didnt even make weight for lightweight. i weighed in at 149 which would have put me in the featherweight division. my scale was off by ten pounds i guess.

I am 6' 3" or 6' 4" and I was 149lbs at the weigh in but usually I am 161lbs

LOL fuckin schooled that kid. I like at the beginning when you flipped him over from the front headlock and jumped right into mount. Also, I wasn't really expecting you to get the sub, that was a pleasant surprise.

That's nice work for a few months of training. Your technique actually looks pretty tight, a lot tighter than a few months of training should show.

Pretty tight technique passing the half to mount for a noob. Nice shoulder pressure and kept pretty low...A lto fo lanky guys suck on top because they like the triangle so much. Ot looks like you have been working on everthing. Where do you train?

I am going to be competing again (finally) in a couple weeks. I will post my vids.
