I wouldnt be suprised to see it much lower than that. I actually think it will be. Bader is undefeated and he is coming off a win against Little Nog, that is arguably the most impressive win between the two of them. Don't get me wrong, I think Jones will beat Bader pretty soundly but there is a chance the bookies won't.
I was just watching the Q and A with Bader and one of the things he mentioned was how he was never shot doubles in his collegiate wrestling career. He mentioned something about pick and pivot( I think). I think I have an idea what it is and it is not something that is really applicable to MMA wrestling. He won't be taking down Jones in this fight if you ask me. Jones has handled 4 guys who can wrestle..all of his last 4 opponents. I think Jones will be taking down Bader in this fight, but I don't know how frequently. One thing is for sure though, Jones will dominate the standup. He looks good on the feet everytime we see him and he has about a 10 inch reach advantage. This is going to be a good bet.
"I like to stay on the outside, ankle picks, pull the head down, run around, really not get in too much trouble on my knees. In MMA when I came over I cant go out there and ankle pick somebody...I have a good double but I shoot it rather unorthodox"
He isn't getting too many doubles on Jones. He is going to have a lot of trouble closing the distance effectively to shoot on him IMO. Jones is fast as shit too.
Yeah a lot of wrestlers are not pwer shot guys... Munoz has the same issue. He was more of a knee wrestler, put himself in the front headlock and then tried to drag out or come out the back.
I think Bader has a good shot here though. I don't think the line will be -300. I was thinking -225 to -250. I think I would take Bader @ +200 though. But Jones will beat him.
I strongly feel that Jones wins just because he's literally better than Bader in EVERY way -- striking, wrestling, cardio, and, I would guess, submissions.
If I can get Jones at anything under -300 I will do it immediately.
