lmao, at the press conference, Shogun/Jones went to "face off" and Jones did that thing where he stood to the side and looked away, so Shogun thought they were posing for the press so he turned away too.
Yeah Jon Jones goes to intimidate and Shogun is like "doh di doh, I wonder what he's looking at"
I'm not super-confident, but I do think he should win. Most of the guys that Marshall has beaten came from a wrestling base and had average striking, and he had good enough TDD to stay up and win a decision. Cane's a damn good striker. He won a clear decision over Cantwell and rocked Diabate before getting KOd.
Marshall is a point's fighter. I haven't seen anything to suggest that he has any sort of ability to knock people out. He also got beat by Matyushenko in a fight that was mostly on the feet, and Matyushenko is certainly no striking specialist.
I'm expecting a kickboxing fight in which Marshall either gets (T)KOd or outpointed for three rounds, much as Cane did to Cantwell. But who knows. Marshall could be a dick and come in and win via takedowns or something.
On a side note, he is also saying that a fighter's union is getting discussed more and more by the fighters since the strikeforce buy out by Zuffa He is talking about a lot of details on that union in the interview If anybody want more detaisl about everything in the article, let me know and I could translate more
The more I think about Miller/Marquart, the better I think Dan's chances are. But it all hinges on Dan being able to get a takedown, which is pretty questionable. I think it might be worth a bet though.
I also have a hard time liking Schaub, just rubs me the wrong way.
