Schaub/Cro Cop was actually close up until he got dropped. I think Schaub is overrated, but his takedowns looked really good. Cro Crop is hard to take down and Schaub was blowing through him on the takedowns. The HW division sucks as a whole, so Schaub is a fringe contender now. They need to bring the SF HW's over so they at least have a full division of fighters. As of now, the UFC has Cain, Carwin, Lesnar, JDS... then Mir, Nelson and Schaub... then.... no one.

Marquardt will never be champ. He just doesn't have the goods.

Jim Miller has won me over as a fan. He deserves his shot.
    agree with all of that.

I also think Cruz is going to win that one. If Wineland could stuff Urijah for a full round then Cruz should be able to do it for a full fight. And on the feet, Cruz is just too dynamic. I wonder what kind of line we're going to get.

Probably so. He's just one step behind the very top of the division. He still beats most everyone though and is a very good fighter.

I wonder what it's like for him to be the "good" fighter in the family. Not that Dan's not good, but Jim's on another level.

BTW, do you still not think that Jones will defend more than three times?

I think the line will open fairly close. We might even get a good line like -130.

He probably will. He should beat Rashad. There are no real challengers in the pipeline aside from former champions Griffin/Rampage/Machida.

I don't think it is beyond the realm of possibility that Rashad beats him though. Rashad may be able to put him on his back and/or land a big shot. He could also conceivably just survive long enough for the technical flaws in Jones' game to be become more apparent.

I will say, he looks pretty special. We will probably be seeing him on some Nike commercials soon, he has cross-over potential.

If it's -130 then I'll be on him fo sho.

Poor Urijah. I fear that his days as a champ are over.

You got confused somewhere in the conversation.

Yeah, I think Dana sees a gigantic cash cow in front of him. I bet he danced the jig when Jones won, especially in the fashion that he did.

Damn. I did get confused. And I was way the hell off. I will be on Rashad at that line.

As for Faber/Cruz, I think it will be close, maybe -150 for Cruz.

Jones actually opened at -400 but it got pounded quickly.

I agree with Cruz over Faber. I have actually thought that for a while, when I heard it the first time they mentioned it. I think Faber is a little bit overrated. He is very good at wrestling/submissions but I think Cruz can probably shut that down. He shut down the last guy who was a big collegiate wrestler like Faber. I don't think he was taken down once in 5 rounds. He even landed some takedowns.

I think Faber might even come out as the favorite as well. He already beat Cruz and has way more hype about him. I wouldn't be shocked to see Faber at -200 opening. Who knows where he will end up, he was like -500 at one point against Eddie Wineland. Dominick never had lines like that( I am at work so I can't double check). Also, if Cruz wins it should be by decision. They probably won't juice that up much though because everyone should know that.

If Urijah opens at -200 then I will definitely be on Cruz. I can only pray for such a line.

So did the Barboza fight derail some of that hype, or is Njokuani just better than everyone thought?

I thought Barbosa was hurt coming into the fight? I still think he is gonna be really good.
