I've got 3u on Barnett. I do not expect Bert to have anything for him on the ground.

Yeah I really don't see how Rogers wins this. The only thing that worries me is that Barnett hasn't fought top competition since 2006. But is Brett Rogers considered top competition compared to Pedro Rizzo and Jeff Monson? I really think Rogers KO over AA got him hyped big time and he was thrown to the wolves way too fast.

I don't think Rogers is really that good. He is only considered good because he beat AA like you said. Even that was sort of flukey, he ko'd him in 22 seconds. You can call that really good, or a fluke. Know what I mean? It's hard to say. He has power, we know that. All around though, how good can he be? Barnett is a savvy vet that should be able to take him down and submit him. Barnetts wins haven't been that big of names but they are somewhat decent competition. At least as good as Brett Rogers if you ask me. Aside from Monson he has finished them all too. Monson is an ADCC champ by the way. He isn't a bad fighter. I don't know how big I will go on Barnett, it's still a long way away too.

I'm not the least bit mad about tonight either.

I consider big odds anything over -200. I dont even bet fights over -350 unless its a rare occassion

I guess I just misunderstood you

-.35u on the night. Not really bummed since it was almost a 3.1u bust until I nailed the Bigfoot and over 1.5rounds on Bigfoot/Fedor. Kind of sad to see Fedor go out that way but at least we don't have to watch him get fucked up by the Rich Franklins of the world for another three years ala Chuck Liddell.

                The cage was Fedor's downfall.

Fight mileage and the division becoming filled with overall more well rounded fighters were his downfall. He's 34, has been fighting less and less frequently over the last four years. He fought 26 times between his first fight and the end of 2005. Since then he has fought 9 times including tonight. A simple way to put it is that he is "fight old". Another way would be to say he doesn't want to fight anymore(given his talk of contemplating retirement all through the week leading up to this fight). Maybe it's a combination of both, who knows. What is clear is the times they are a changin'.

Indeed. My comment was kind of facetious, although I DO think the cage is less accommodating to Fedor's style.

I also think competition has a lot to do with it. Say what you will, but I think that history has shown that the PRIDE guys--while many of them were great fighters--were not necessarily the best that the world had to offer.

With that said, I do agree that he's just been doing this a long time. Maybe his heart wasn't 100% in it anymore. It kind of sucks that, provided he does decide to retire, that his SF record is going to be 1-2 with his lone win being to the tough, but not elite, Bert Rogers.

Stop with that Dana white we've got the best fighters and always had rhetoric. The best fighters WERE in pride when Fedor was beating them all up. Who was he supposed to fight that was better? Tim Sylvia and Andre Arlovski? Oh wait.

                            .

Who were the best the world had to offer then? Sylvia , AA and Mir ? Are you saying those 3 were better than Fedor, Cro Cop and Barnett

Not to mention a PRIDE fighter is the current UFC Lt HW champ

PRIDE did have the best in the world at HW and Lt HW at that time.
